Why would you make gender uncustomizable?
Taking away people’s ability to explain their gender as they see it is a step backwards. I don’t know why y’all would decide to make this a feature in our current climate. Only explanation I can see is because of the huge number of cis men who use the section to joke about non binary genders, which is understandable. However, those transphobic people should not be the reason that trans people have confines placed on their identities.
Also- the category I would put this in is User Experience but that’s not an option.

Change Sex Position Filter to Free
As I side, I find it very difficult to find men who I am sexually compatible with. I was estatic to see that grindr finally included Sides in the positions preference, but I was hoping that you would change the positions filter to be included for free grindr members.
Positions are more important than tribes in my opinion, when it comes to compatibility, and for us sides, it is essential. I have been put in many unsafe situations by meeting people from grindr who said they accepted me a side, but actually had alter our motives to “convert me”. I…

Remove the black grade out in photos
Please please. I would like you to consider removing the black "vignette", this black grading out in the top and bottom of photos. This is a dating app and also discreet for many people. Meeting someone either for something short or long term is highly based upon visuals at first. Images are all we have. The top and bottom of every photo either in albums or not is not visible resulting in an unclear perception of the person and his body. Please, just let the photos be as they are originally.

Liars and flakes. They chat and say they are on their way to meet and then don’t show.
Far to many guys chat up a good story and then say they are on their way to meet. However, in spite of providing them with a phone number to contact me, there is no call and a no-show. This is happened to me so many times I am considering just canceling my Grindr account and forgetting about it too many of these guys are just assholes

New feature ideas for “yellow square” alert on albums
The new alerts for private albums that have recently been updated - with the little yellow square is so awesome
I see it as a really cool way to broadcast to everyone you have shared with that you are looking good. I’ve used it to reach out to people and like photos that have led to meeting up.
This hopefully continues to mature so you can chose to unfollow albums from people - and have more curation and control over the albums in that tab

"Hide profile from"
A filter/option to hide your profile from anyone you're not interested in. So if you don't want to be contacted by profiles over or under certain ages, without a picture or matching criteria of your choosing, then your profile won't be visible to them and they won't be visible to you. This will save time, effort and the frustration of rejections.

Deletion of photos from conversations if you delete them from a private gallery/media
Photos that you send to someone and then get deleted from a private gallery/media should disappear from the entire conversation in all people, not like it is currently that all photos stay and it should show that they are unavailable. Something similar to how it is on a gallery basis when you stop sharing an album and can't access it. In general, the problem is that photos should delete themselves with everyone after you delete them with yourself from the gallery/media

People need to quit worshipping false Idols and baal and start treating their bodies as holy temples, not prostitute's. They need to quit making me into what they think is best.
