Fix inbox notification UX and allow us to choose what to be notified of.
Sometimes I get notification and a red dot appears on the inbox tab but there’s no new message so it’s not clear what is new. I’m assuming these notifications are triggered by someone liking a message or a pic, but I can’t really be sure what the call to action is. This is terrible UX. If you notify me, it needs to be clear what I’m being notified of! The next step would be to then let us customize what we want to be notified of.

Allow users to opt out of being messaged by "recently joined" profiles unless a user initiated contact first
As Grindr allows users to have multiple profiles and unlimited or Xtra features transfer after a very short wait when switching profiles, the ability for abusive exes or stalkers to continue to pursue their victims by repeatedly creating new profiles to harass, bully, or threaten them renders the app unpleasant and at times unusable. Allowing individuals to opt out of being messaged by these profiles is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY as a free feature in the app to protect users. Do something about the fakes and scammers!
There are a ridiculous amount of fake/spam profiles on Grindr! One of the most prevalent ones that I’ve seen are supposed dominant trans women looking for subs. They use pictures pulled from the internet, usually of popular trans performers (I’ve confirmed this through Google image searches, and even reaching out to one on Reddit), and the insist on people who contact them introduce themselves with their name, age, location, job, and other potentially identifying information. I have been scammed before (not on Grindr) where they threatened to release my personal photos and identifying information unless I sent them money. And…

With the biggest connected community for the gay community worldwide; I am tired of having to switch to bumble or tinder to have stability from horny boys and gentlemen;

Block certain country
I get an illegall scam message every second day from Nigeria asking if If I want to be a sugar baby on snap, I swear to satan If I cant ban another country I will have to delete the app.

The Kink Tags are Bullshit!
Please have a Grindr staff member who is actually familiar and experienced with a kink lifestyle, redesign the TAGS system, which is completely embarrassing and useless in its current state (unless of course you’re into playing with ‘tentacles’ in ‘bathwater’).

We are in 2024. Words like slave, master, commercial and derogatory words should be blocked on Grindr using some simple AI validation.

Allow us to report profiles with fake addresses or location
I have gotten a few profiles that use a fake location and send me to someone's house. I believe being able to report profiles for this, EVEN AFTER THEY BLOCK YOU.
