There should be a feature that allows the user to select a specific distance e.g 1km/mile so that the user can be able to receive a grid of profiles within that selected distance. This should also apply to users who choose not to display their distance

5. Make gender selection not optional or remove unspecified

Too many people, especially bots on the grid with unspecified gender so you can't even use that filter like 90% of the time. Make it not optional or remove it entirely as a filter option. Lol. Everyone has a gender even non-binary can identify as "non-binary" default of nothing helps nobody.

8. remove hide function

Please remove the hide function, as it's useless and flawed. I'd prefer to keep only the block function, as it's much more useful, especially for those using the basic version. There are many profiles that don't interact with us, and it's better to limit them with blocks to reveal more new ones.

14. What’s With The Ad Bombing?

So basically you’ve now made Grindr un-usable by “ad bombing”, unless you pay a ridiculous price for Unlimited ($52.00 CAD). The X-tra is useless as you may as well pay the extra 30$ to get unlimited. At least offer packages with discounts. Like Annual, bi-annual or quarterly packages, but with a % discount. Grindr Unlimited otherwise is worth I’d say $30 CAD Maximum per month. The way you’ve now completely ad bombed the free membership is ridiculous and is going to drive people literally insane. I was tolerant of the ads before cuz I get it, it pays for the free basic memberships. But the amount of ads is so ridiculous that I actually juts close out the app and reopen it as it’s quicker than watching the whole ad. Now on a low-income (not all gay people are rich), for my own mental sanity I have to pay $50 CAD / month + tax juts to try and get my dick sucked by somebody that is either 1. Fake 2. A Flake or 3. Blank profile.

I’ve used Grindr since the Dawn of the smart phone, it’s kind of the pioneer of the hook up apps, maybe it’s time to hand the reigns over to a newer app company that listens to its customers instead of doing the opposite. The “for you” is a joke. There is. Never even 1 person I would consider “my type”!, they are typically barely legal and 20 some odd years younger than me.

Or maybe just start over. Scrap the whole thing start from the beginning. A new App a new beginning You will start to lose customers. I’m probably gonna go back to using Scruff and Squirt more now for sure. My Unlimited expires today I’m not sure I’m gonna renew it.

16. How to Know When You Need Car Engine Repair in Dubai

People often call the car engine the “heart” of your vehicle. Your car can’t run without a well-kept engine just like the human body can’t work without a healthy heart. For drivers in Dubai where everyday life includes long drives, extreme heat, and city traffic, the engine faces even more stress. If you don’t take care of small engine problems, they can turn into expensive fixes or even a total breakdown.

But how can you tell when your car in Dubai needs engine repair? Spotting early warning signs is key to stopping bigger problems. This guide will show you the most common engine trouble symptoms, why fixing issues matters, and why Service My Car is the go-to place for expert engine repair and upkeep in Dubai.

Why Engine Health Matters So Much

Your car’s engine has a huge impact on every trip you take. It operates under a lot of stress turning fuel into energy to keep your car going. Dubai’s hot weather, busy roads, and occasional desert drives put even more strain on the engine.

If you ignore engine trouble signs, you risk:

    – Sudden breakdowns while driving.

    – Higher costs for fixes.

    – Worse gas mileage.

    – Severe engine harm needing full replacement.

By spotting the warning signs early and scheduling prompt car fixes with a trusted company like Service My Car, you can avoid wasting time, money, and stress.

Key Indicators You Need Engine Work in Dubai

    1. Your Check Engine Light Turns On

The check engine light serves as a clear sign that something’s not right. It might turn on due to a small problem, like a gas cap that’s not tight enough, but it can also signal major engine troubles. When this light stays lit, it’s smart to take your car to Service My Car right away. They’ll give your engine a thorough health check to catch any issues before they get worse.

    1. Strange Noises from the Engine

Engines produce a constant smooth sound during operation. Knocking, grinding, rattling, or hissing noises serve as warning signs. These sounds often point to worn engine parts, damaged bearings, or issues with combustion. Don’t overlook strange engine noises—quick action can save you from costly fixes. Service My Car provides engine vibration fixes and other motor repair options to tackle these problems.

    1. Too Much Smoke from the Exhaust

Your exhaust smoke’s color can tell you a lot about your engine’s condition:

Blue smoke: Oil burning because of worn-out piston rings.

Black smoke: Excess fuel combustion pointing to problems with fuel injectors or air filters.

White smoke: Coolant seeping into the engine often indicating a blown head gasket.

If you see smoke that won’t go away, it’s time to get an engine smoke repair check at Service My Car.

    1. Weak Performance and Loss of Power

If your car has trouble speeding up, moves up hills, or seems lazy, your engine might not have enough power. This could happen because of fuel system issues, blocked filters, or worn engine parts. Don’t let it get worse, get it checked out. Mechanics can find the problem using special tools.

    1. Lower Gas Mileage

Good engines use gas well. If you’re filling up more often than before, your engine might not be working right. Things like broken sensors, dirty fuel injectors, or worn parts could be causing this. At Service My Car, engine experts can find out why and help your car use less gas again.

    1. Overheating Problems

Dubai’s hot weather often causes engines to overheat. Your car might have cooling system issues, a leaky head gasket, or other engine problems if it overheats often or the temperature gauge climbs fast. Driving a hot engine can wreck it so you need to fix overheating right away.

    1. Oil Leaks and Low Oil Levels

Oil keeps the engine slick, stopping friction and heat. If you see oil spots under your car or the oil light blinks a lot, your engine could be in trouble. If you ignore oil problems, your engine might break down . Regular checks and upkeep in Dubai help your engine run well all the time.

    1. Unusual Vibrations or Shaking

When your car shakes or vibrates too much at idle or while driving, this might indicate engine misfires, bad spark plugs, or worn-out engine mounts. These problems can get worse if left unchecked, so it’s key to get them checked out quickly. Service My Car provides specialized services to fix engine vibration issues.

    1. Stalling or Difficulty Starting the Car

A car with a healthy engine should start right away. If your car has trouble starting, stalls often, or won’t start at all, this could mean problems with the ignition, fuel system, or electrical parts. Getting help from the pros at Service My Car can make sure this issue doesn’t leave you stuck somewhere.

    1. Burning Smells or Strange Odors

When you smell something burning inside or outside your car, it’s scary. This smell might mean oil is leaking, parts are getting too hot, or wires connected to the engine aren’t working right. Don’t ignore weird smells. They could point to big mechanical problems or even fire risks.

Why Timely Engine Repair Is Crucial

If you put off fixing your engine, you could end up with big damage and high costs. A small oil leak or odd noise might seem okay today, but tomorrow it could make your engine stop working. When you fix engine problems :

    – Your car lasts longer.

    – Your car uses gas better.

    – You’re less likely to break down on the road.

    – You save money by not having to replace big parts.

Why Pick Service My Car for Engine Repair in Dubai

Your car’s engine matters a lot so you need someone you can trust. Service My Car gives you a pro and easy way to get your engine fixed in Dubai.

Tips to Keep Your Engine Running Smooth

Although repairs can’t always be avoided, taking good care of your car helps keep the engine in top shape. Here are some key tips to maintain your car in Dubai:

Change Oil – Make sure to replace dirty oil and filters according to the schedule.

Keep an Eye on Coolant – Stop your car from overheating by keeping coolant at the right level.

Switch Out Air Filters – Clogged filters cut down airflow and put stress on the engine.

Pay Attention to Warning Lights – Don’t brush off alerts on your dashboard.

FAQs About Car Engine Repair in Dubai

Q1: How often should I service my car engine in Dubai?

You should get your engine checked at least every 10,000 km or follow your manufacturer’s advice. Dubai’s hot weather might mean you need to service and maintain your car more often.

Q2: What should I do if my car engine overheats?

Stop your car , switch off the engine, and let it cool down. Don’t open the radiator cap while it’s still hot. Call Service My Car to get expert help with fixing an overheated engine.

Q4: How do I know if I need an engine overhaul?

17. Prevent Album Exploitation Ideas

    Idea 1:
In our chatting app, a common issue arises where one user (Person 1) requests photo albums from another (Person 2), receives them, and then blocks Person 2 without reciprocating—leaving Person 2 feeling tricked, insecure, and questioning their worth after repeated incidents. To combat these "photo hunters," we could add a visible feature on user profiles showing the total number of profiles they've blocked historically. This transparency would empower users like Person 2 to make informed decisions before sharing personal albums, aiming a safer, more trustworthy environment without compromising core privacy.

    Idea 2:
Trust Badge System: Introduce badges or scores based on positive interactions (e.g., "Reliable Sharer" for users with low block rates and high mutual exchanges), which could be earned over time and displayed on profiles.

    Idea 3:
Report and Pattern Detection: Allow users to flag "photo hunting" behavior, with the app's algorithm detecting patterns (like frequent blocks after album requests) and temporarily restricting such users from requesting albums.
