I’m a MTF just started my Journey as of month. I see to many straight women & men on here which is school but I think this app should be for strictly for members of the LGBTQIA community who I identify as Lesbianc Gay, Trans, Non Binary, Cis, Bisexual & Queer. Also add features like support groups, sports, or fun meetups in the area u live in.

Paid user shouldn’t have adverts
Paid members should not be seeing adverts after they paid not to. Worse again they should not be seeing advertisements from artists, companies, health services or even Grindr themselves. The only exception to this should be and advertisement to say locally to the user (geolocation) a new vaccine has been released or serious outbreak has been identified. Tags in different languages - should be linked
Tags meaning the same thing should be linked in different languages! My iPhone and apps are in English language. If I search for “hung” in a tag, for example, not many options show up in Spain. This is as in the app in Spain (of course, in Spanish) they do not have a “hung” option but instead the word “dotado”. Tags which mean the same thing should be linked, no matter what the language! So when you are travelling, guys with that attribute are always visible, no matter which language you personally search in….

Make Grindr more informative and educational.
Many people who sign up do not know what terms like “top,” “bottom,” or the different tribes mean. They may also not understand profile descriptors such as “toned” or “large.” Please provide clear explanations for these terms, especially during the registration process and when users are selecting options. It would also be helpful to require users to acknowledge that they have read this information before continuing.

I previously had a Grindr account registered with my phone number. I believe someone else may have used my phone and sent messages without my permission. After that, I was unable to access my account, and it was banned.
I was surprised that my account was permanently banned without any warning or notice. I would appreciate it if you could review my case and reconsider the ban.
I believe users should receive warnings before a permanent ban is applied, especially when there may be a misunderstanding or unauthorized use of the account.1 vote -

Who else would prefer Grindr to be removed from the Apple Store? They can actually post a profile picture that complies with the terms and conditions, which is absurd. Apps like war the knights , Instagram, Reddit, and Facebook have massive engineering teams and billions of dollars in resources. Yet users still encounter simple bugs, frustrating user experiences, and issues that go unaddressed for years.
What are the main reasons why large companies don't fix these bugs and user experience problems?
