Not transphobic but there has to be a fine line between gays looking for gays and guys looking for fem/trans. It seems more than half of the profiles I look at are looking for trans only, and this is very annoying being gay... A new app, or strong filters are necessary. Please don't make me stop using my favorite app due to such a silly reason

Allow filtering by hiv status to allow poz guys find other poz guys
It would make such a huge difference to poz guys if you could let us find other poz guys. This won’t get many upvotes because it doesn’t affect most users but for those of us who are poz it would be a huge improvement to our lives to be able to find other poz guys, so please please implement this 🙏. Perhaps the filter can only be visible to guys who have their hiv status as poz on their profile if you’re worried about prejudiced people abusing the filter. Ok, so you're trying to force people to not be racist, was that the idea behind deleting that filter?
Being racist and sexual preferences are two very different things.
I am sexually into a specific race and body type. The same reason I wouldn't fuck or date a 400 pound man is the same reason I wouldn't fuck a black guy. PREFERENCES.
Thats not saying I am not or wouldn't be friends with either one, cuz I have many, but I'm not gonna be fucking them because, why? PREFERENCES. That's the point of filters..

"Types" I am looking for feature
In addition to what type YOU are, a feature that let's others know what type you're "LOOKING FOR" would save allot of time for everyone. As a smooth guy, I won't even try to say hello to a guy looking for hairy. Or as skinny guy, I won't hit on a guy looking chubby guys. Guys looking for white only won't hit up POC. These are just personal preferences. Just because I only want to sleep with men doesn't make me a misogynist or just because I'm looking for a POC man mean I'm racist against white people.

Country filter
A simple solution would be on signup it will use your current location as your home Country and/or have you choose your Country of residence. From there you add a filter option that reads something like 'only show people in the same Country". For those living in border cities who can deal with cross-border travel and would like to have the option, just leave the filter unchecked. For the rest of us in border cities who do not want to see people in their neighboring country, the filter can then be used and only show people in the user's home…

Hi. I’m really tired of being misgendered literally every single time I’m on the app it’s been getting honestly very upsetting and I’m tired of feeling like have no identity when I’m online. free Ethnicity filter
An Ethnicity filter should be added and in the free filters select I might add. I like in an area where there are majority black men but all I see on the nearby page are white men. We definitely should be able to filter out what we are looking for and what we’re not looking for. That options should also be available in the basic filters selection.

dear Grindr, when will You please stop ignoring people questions about restoring the ethnicity filter option? We all know, there is a problem with racism in America, but I havent noticed, it has been better since there was no ethnicity filtrer on Grindr... We dont have this problem as a gay society. Your decision to remove this option is ridiculous and embarrassing... Did You ask your customers, what they think about? Why dont You not allow people to decide?
