   WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD REMOVE THAT FEATURE??! Grindr is based on Chatting. How do you expect us to find our old/important messages.

   I use the search bar to look for keywords like 'Whatsapp' so I could find the guys who gave me their Whatsapp numbers lol. Ugh. I AM SO PISSED.

3. Fix Block Feature!

   The Block Feature not working has become a safety issue that Grindr is ignoring. I will never again pay to use this app for this reason! There is simply no excuse for this. Having to block the same people 10x a day is ludicrous and proves that Grindr doesn't really care about user safety or security as this has been an open issue FOREVER!

4. Tap the Grindr symbol at the bottom to scroll back to the top near you

   April 29 2021 you updated Grindr. When this happened you remove the tap to scroll all the way back to the top. Now if I'm at the end of my near me I have to scroll manually back to the top. Please re-enable that feature.

5. Showing profiles nearby that are 40+ miles away

   Randomly, peppered throughout my "nearby" feed are profiles that are, in fact, NOT nearby....by any stretch. There are regularly profiles that are 40+ miles away, right next to profiles that are 3 miles away, 10 miles away, some that are less than 1 mile away.

6. Dump the foreign bots

   It is increasingly useless to even use the app because each time I login within seconds I get 5+ bots or foreign accounts claiming close proximity.

   I understand that it would be incredibly difficult to try and keep them in check but I offer up two simple solutions. Since VPNs make it hard to accurately track a user location I would first see if their ip address location changes drastically from time to time then make them first pass a ‘r u human’ test the next time they want to send a message. So people using random vpns can still use it but bots will require someone on the front end. Next use device gyroscopic functions to see that the device is in someone’s hands moving regularly before allowing to send a message. Next if a user sends messages to multiple people in less than x number of seconds this is less likely someone who isn’t just spamming everyone.

7. Favorite with notes search disappeared

   RESTORE FAVORITE NOTE SEARCHES - which mysteriously disappeared late day March 3, 2023.

   FIX FAVORITES WITH NOTES FILTER - don’t know if this is a new filter or existing, but IT DOES NOT WORK!

   Why removes fav note searches? If one has dozens of favorites and some of the notes are location based, what good are notes if you cannot identify the 20 that are in DC or Atlanta or Naples?

   And to have a filter that is at least supposed to weed out favorite profiles with notes from the rest, but doesn’t work at all is just adding insult to injury.

   C’mon. Don’t you test this stuff before you implement it into production? Or since it so abruptly went away, maybe something in code is broken. Here’s a second notice it isn’t working. Please address it!

8. Let me swipe backwards from the left side of my screen again instead of tapping the X. Please!

   Add phone based gestures back into the app for ease of use, also get rid of the yellow banner that slides down after you send a message from the profile screen. Gets in the way

9. Bring back the favorites tab

   Every time I press my favorites now as a filter it doesn’t load the profiles, I have to close and reopen the app and when eventually it shows my favorites, the profile pictures don’t appear. Thus it’s super buggy and very difficult to use

11. Make Grindr Free Again

    We can only talk to 9 ppl on the fresh page & only about 15 on the normal page. Anyone else you have to pay to talk to them. This rolled out within the last week for me we use to able to have a huge range before you did have to pay. This is absurd and an attack on LGBTQ. As lonely as you can be in this community (speaking for closeted,DL,etc) grindr is suppose to be a space to come together and connect with your community, how DARE you try to monetize off that and making ppl feel more lonely due to lack of users to speak to unless we pay u. Yall get PLENTY of money off ads ALONE. Stop being disgusting money hungry pigs and make grindr free again. Like i said theres no reason we can only talk to 20 people and have to pay for anyone else.     When I block a profile on my grindr, I am literally just not interested and they are not my type.. Please stop showing people I have blocked on my 'viewed me' list.. When I block someone I want it permanent

19. Change notification sound on iOS (it’s easy on Android)

    It is difficult or impossible to change the notification sound on iOS. This is not the case on android. It’s quite easy to make it sound like anything you want however, on iOS you seem to be stuck with the default sound which is a dead giveaway if you’re in a restaurant or someplace.
