Could you please add a distance filter, it's getting out of control!!
Honestly you need to add a distance filter on this app ASAP, it's getting out of hand!
I use this app to meet new people actually as I am chronically ill and can't go out of the house to venues or bars and what not as my medical condition won't allow it. But having a conversation with someone and finding out they are in Estonia or California is kind of outrageous, unless that's what you're going for in which case thats great. Remove taps, fuck adds!
As it says, remove taps, and don't force adds on us as soon as we are texting someone! It deletes the entire text and you have to start over every fucking time!

Why even write this, since your not listening to any suggestions in here.

Consolidate HIV status
The HIV status has the various expected options in a spin wheel where you can only select one option. The health practices component allows you to select multiple options from condoms, DoxyPEP, negative on PrEP, HIV undetectable, and prefer to discuss as options. I think that HIV undetectable is a duplicate from the Status component, and easy to select in error because of how the component is Ux’d. Led me to have conflicting information: Negative, on PrEP, I’m on PrEP, I’m on DoxyPep, and I’m HIV undetectable.

Users are shown as "offline", not "last active xx minutes ago"
The app shows people who went offline 10+ minutes ago as completely offline.
It used to be "offline xx minutes ago", Not Just "offline"2 votes -
Bring back distance based home page
The homepage was based on location and the closer someone is, it’s closer to the top of the page, now there’s no option to chose to change it to shuffle or bring it back and profiles are just appearing shuffle by default, then distance doesn’t make any sense to have if you don’t know who is closer and that’s the base of the interaction… what’s the point then?

Remove the grid showing people not based on proximity
It’s ridiculous to have people at the top of my grid when they are far away. It’s supposed to be based on proximity. Makes me wannaswitch to sniffies

Block
Hi. I noticed that many people block others instead of just saying they are not interested. In fact it’s a kind of bullying in a different way. The block feature supposed to be a last resort option when bullying occurs or if someone harasses someone or if someone doesn’t stop to send messages even when they were ask to stop doing that.
My idea is to limit the number of blocks one can apply in 24 hours. Any number between 2-5 is reasonable.

There's nothing to add here. The free section here contains profiles you're not interested in, the interesting ones are always in the paid section. Ads that freeze and don't close after 2-3 clicks anywhere. A ton of spam with external links leading to who knows where, and regular dick photos in private messages from profiles you're not interested in. And why does this crap require a phone number and a constantly running GPS? You're seriously some completely insane clowns. Remove the tap option on temporary album or picture shared
When a picture or pictures album is shared for limited time, the recipient should not be able to tap it otherwise the picture(s) appear(s) then in the conversation with the tap notification. It is not the purpose of a temporary sharing. Or it should be helpful to remove for both the notification. For the moment, the tap notification can be removed for the album owner.
The only solution that I have is to block the guy…that was not the purpose of this application.

The filter function
The filter function seems not working with sense.
Designer with sense will know if you are applying a filter it means you are narrowing down the results. But when you apply the filter Grindr not only narrowing the results but reducing the results as it like. This does makes sense why without any filter the results are more but with any filter the results are much more lesser. For example age filter.
I hope the designer for Grindr will work with some sense rather than ruining or chasing away the users.1 vote -

Should Grindr incorporate behavioral-based content moderation features (like temporary shadowbans or profile blurring) to reduce harassment, racism, or toxic behavior, while still protecting the freedom of expression and anonymity that characterize dating platforms?
