Try telling people why they got banned
Literally, unconsensual nudes are an undying mould on the app with entitled, creepy cis men always throwing pictures of their dicks at people who explicitly state they don't want photos. I can almost guarantee half the people complaining about getting banned are one of the thousand faceless profiles sending unwanted nudes. Give repeat offenders a pop up saying "did you ask?" Before they're allowed to send a photo. Login history
I have a suspicion that my account has been hacked, but I can't verify it since I didn't use the conventional username and password login method, but instead through my gmail account, and neither can change the password for the same reason. Please can you add a feature where you can see login history?

To many fake profile, block and right away create another one
Have a section with all profile hidden and authentic pictures like scruff. I spend day to look for serious person.

need FULL control over ALL chat sounds (sent and refresh)
We can change and turn off SOME sounds like new chats, but can't change or individually silence the chat refresh sound or the annoying sound when every message is sent?
Really needs expanded to allow full control of every sound that Grindr makes. turn on or off any of them, customize any of them to be a new sound. it's a very "all or nothing" approach now that leads to missed messages.12 votes -

Set privacy settings once.. not every time I start the app!
The new privacy setting screen that pops up on every start of the app is too much! Set it once, or add a link in iOS settings screen, but not every time.

Make the received pictures viewable by tapping
Please consider making it so that we don't have to see received pictures unless we want to. This feature would be like Instagram's photo sent in DM, you would have to tap it to see. It doesn't have to be a disappearing picture on Gridnr, meaning once you view it, it would still remain in the chat. But please consider making it so that one would have to tap the message to see the picture, like "Picture received. Tap to view." Be able to speak with Grindr Reps
2 weeks ago another person verbally attacked me saying I was going to get what I deserved “you old fucking faggot”! Then he said “you’re a dead man”. He was 4 miles away and his profile header was J and he was 24 I think. I think he blocked me because he and the comments disappeared. Last week he basically did the same thing saying I thought I was better than everyone, would get what I deserved and to enjoy my awakening. Notification sounds
Separate in-app sounds from notification sounds. With Android you can use system settings to change the notification sound, but then the memorable 'click' is always on when a message is sent. The latter should have the option to be switched off.

Block phone or computer IP address
The block button should block that persons phone/computer instead of just that login. That way they can’t just create a new account and keep messaging you. I met this guy on here and things just didn’t work but he is psychologically obsessed and creates new profiles daily and uses fake pics the reason I know is because I will tap explorer and move to the area he lives and boom there is the profile he just messaged me from right at his house. It’s getting kinda scary actually. It’s been 6 months and he doesn’t give up!

Please make sharing album mutual.
Please make sharing album mutually. i.e. The other person can only see your album once they share their's as well and vice versa.
So it goes like this. I (person A) share my album with person B. But to access my album, person B will also have to share his album with me.11 votes -
Verification check
Grindr is long overdue to implement verification to make this app more secure. I don't understand why it is not implemented, in fact, most apps of this type have facial recognition. This way, we will always know that we are talking to a real person and that we are not putting our life, our photos or our conversations at risk. it is very necessary and urgent!!!!!

If you get blocked after sending pics auto delete Pic & profile from the user that blocked the person

Re-enable the app to allow device geospoofing for Xtra users
With the 9.8.0 update Grindr does not allow mock location support on the device. This has the potential to put queer people at risk and if a user choose to change the location of their device then the app should respect that. There are so many privacy and safety reasons to allow this in the queer commmunity.

Change location within 5 or 10 miles of actual location
Allow location to be set 5 to 10 miles from real location for safety and privacy. Not only would this help if you log on at work but would keep creepy people from knowing the general area you live in with any accuracy.

Distance
I suggest that I we Hide our distance we cannot see the other distance of the users. Just like in facebook messenger, If we turned off chat Online status we cannot see other users Online.

Back up block profiles
It's time grindr have a back up block profiles u don't wish to see. Everytime grindr have a new updates it unblocks profiles we blocked automatically. This needs to end as an unlimited user. Also we want a multiple profile select profiles to block instead of doing for each profile. Some profiles are better off block permanently. Sorry enough is enough
