Hide location, distance
I live in a small area I'm on tinder & grindr
I've seen someone on grindr who was (trying to be discreet) they scratched with a pen over there face but I was able to tell who they was because tinder & grindr have the same location, distance. And a few other people. You can hide distance but if people beside that profile have it on then you know how far they are stillI think the distance, location shouldn't be visible on everyone's profile for safety and especially privacy reasons and if people chatting want to share distance, location…

Restrict who can see me by age filter
Make it so we can restrict who is able to view our profiles based on an age filter. E.g making it so no one under 25 can view my profile.
This would be great for professionals who may work with people who use the app *e.g people who work with queer youth, teachers, counsellors (me) etc.

Blank User Shield
The abundance of blank and photo-less profiles is concerning and incessant.
Allow users with photos the option to be invisible to blank users or to appear blank to those without profile photos. This would ensure a more equitable sense of privacy among pictured & blank users.9 votes -
An increase of scammers
I have recently noticed an increase in scam accounts messaging me. Most of them are for websites advertising adult content that you must sign up for by first giving the platform your credit/debit card information, others are trying to be a little more sophisticated by trying to get users to sing up for external "social media" platforms, such as a website known as "dreamguydatesandfun", found here: dreamguydatesandfun.com (Please do not sign up with real information as you will be scammed). It is very annoying that people keep phishing for your identity.
They pretend to be nice and then once you tell certain things they are phishing for they block you.
This makes grindr extremely dangerous.
They can screenshot your answers and then prevent you from controlling the chat.
How can you ask this much money for an app that has this much of a security risk?
And people are blocking just for fun it seems.

Give all users the right to turn off their location
Whilst Grindr doesn’t give your exact location, people can triangulate where you are. I don’t think it’s fair to charge $20 a month for the safety of users. In the last month I’ve been approached by three men in public who have seen me on Grindr and worked out where I am thanks to the distance feature. It has made me feel extremely unsafe. I’m staying in a hotel and a guy discovered this and booked a floor above mine and then tried to coerce me into coming upstairs or giving him my room number. I don’t think it’s much…

Allow people to opt out of being seen by profiles with no pictures
It’s really annoying to constantly get berated by profiles with no pictures because I’m not interested in discreet men. Please add a setting that would allow users to opt out of being seen by these profiles. Totally OK if it’s a premium feature for extra

Deleting messages on block is illegal
When grinder deletes or hides messages because someone clicked block user is harboring evidence from illigal activity. If a user failed to disclose their hiv status before engaging In sex that is illegal. For that user to have the ability to just click block and have evidence erased from the victim's view sets up major grounds of lawsuits in various countries such as USA and Korea.

UNSHARE ALL
Please add an UNSHARE ALL or RELOCK ALL feature in Album Sharing. I’m beginning to find that there are users from the past who still have access to my private album but who do not show up in the “shared with” list. Besides there being another glitch with your app, we occasionally need to unshare with all for privacy and safety reasons!

Allow me to appear offline to specific users.
Sometimes people can be way too persistent, and you'll want to feel free to use the app without making yourself available to those people. And while blocking people may be an appropriate course of action in some cases, there are other cases in which you may want to stay in touch with someone on only a limited basis. Blocking people who know you personally and to whom you may be subjected in real life can also create conflict which this feature could easily help people to avoid.

Unban people
A lot of people are banned unfair.
Grindr support is not fair. They don't took time to investigate what happened. If you send: when I will be unbanned. They always answer the same: sorry to hear, we know banned can be really upset, unfortunality we can't give any info about your ban for privacy reasons. This decision is final the case is closed.My idea will be too unban me!!!!

Fake account
To get rid of fake accounts, the application should require verification with a video and additionally a photo, and only then create an account for the user. There is such a thing as being verified on tinder.

Valid Driver's license or id
In order to use this app, a valid driver's license or ID should be required, for anyone who is worried about their info being leaked, all that would need to be shown is you're name and date of birth, and when it expires. I'm sick of being contacted by minors, and having to report them and track down their parents to tell them that their CHILD is doing this shady ass shit.
