Ability to block phone contacts
There should be an option to block all contacts on your phone inside the app so things like family, coworkers or close friends wouldn’t be able to see you on the app

Promote awareness of monkeypox
Urgently post information to users helping people spot the early symptoms and rash characteristic monkeypox. This recent outbreak is in the early phases, appears to be heavily focussed on the MSM community, has potential to spread and harm, and may already involve people unaware of symptoms (Gay cis-man, Pandemic Scientist and Doctor). Verification
Grindr to introduce a verification badge. Much like other social media networks that have verified a users identity. This would help with identity fraud and also other people using your photos.

Pre Ban
Hi.
I feel like users should receive a warning before they get permanently banned, something like a pre ban. Most users bypass the rules and everything else. I got banned because I used one of my half nude pictures as my profile picture. I also think the Grindr team should inform the users why they got banned, what the reason was, I had to figure why I got banned by myself.

Verifying Age
Grindrs way of verifying age is too easy to manipulate.
Too many 17 and under ages on the app putting 18 and older users at severe risk.You need to upgrade to a valid state ID photo of a license for the system to "OK"
There are too many minors who claim 18 to 22 years of age on the app.

The new "grunt" sound overrides custom sounds - fix this
Please make all sounds customizable.
I used to be able to customize notification sounds in Android. Now the "grunt" sound won't allow itself to be overridden.
It's creepy for a human-like sound to come out of my phone randomly, and it'd be even creepier to hear it coming out of someone else's phone.
Fix your shit plz. I dislike having to turn off all notifications but it's not a realistic option to keep this sound on.
The divide between grindr not working well and sniffies just working is growing and growing...even reddit is better for hookups at this point.

Fake profiles, escorts, etc.
Fake profiles are not being handled by Grindr. I get guys who I've reported creating new profiles EVERY DAY and contacting me again -- there needs to be verification like a government-issued ID. If a profile with that ID has been reported/blocked/banned, they obviously should NOT be able to just create a new profile with the same ID. Also all the escorts need a separate category - any "regular" guy who asks if we're "generous" is an escort. The word "generous" if used should generate a pop-up warning. Unreciprocated pictures
Have a swap pictures feature where a user can choose to send a picture in the chat but the receiving user cannot view the photo until they also send a photo. This will prevent users from agreeing to swap photos but not actually sending their photo after receiving a photo.

Trans women/ women/ MF couples
There needs to be a filter option to block or hide trans women/ women or MF couples.. I’m not transphobic at all. This app has always been a primarily gay men’s app and now seeing 25% women every time I open my app even if I spend most my time blocking the trans members… I personally DO NOT want to see women on my app when I’m paying 40$ a month to use the app.. A way to verify yourself
Right now we are all aware there are many individuals who have fake profiles, and even individuals who are scamming people. I understand people want to be discreet, but there should be a feature kind of like tinder where you actually get a checkmark for being verified with your profile. Somebody in the past created a fake profile trying to sextort me which I ended up reporting to the FBI. The problem is they blocked my profile right away before I was able to report it to Grindr. You guys want to make money money money at all cost. So before if someone viewed you, you’ll be able to click on their profile but now you can’t. I noticed so many blank profiles looking and when i want to click on them to block I can’t. It says buy XTRA.
