So for NSFW pics options. They aren't specific enough. Like, I want to have an option that says "Ask First". Because people think that "not at first" just means "don't send a dick pic first thing". Like. I want explicit consent options.

Blank profiles
Ok so we all know about Catfishing and you guys are letting far too many people get away with it. I honestly feel violated when i see that a “guy” with a blank profile has the nerve to say send pic for pic or looked at my profile possibly collected my pic and that’s it. Like wtf? It feels so uneasy. Bell i don’t care if it’s a fake pic we all know how to sniff out if they’re real or not but no when it’s all blank. All those aren’t that discreet trust me. block "For you" chats
I do not want Grindr to recommend chats, and I'm certainly not going to pay for the feature. In fact I would block most of the profiles that are listed (first two in list were crossdressers). If Grindr can keep all of its AI profiles in this area and off my grid then it's useful. Otherwise it's waste of space that I don't want to see.

When someone gets banned you should show them the content for which they were banned for and not just send a banned msg people report others all the time for dumb stuff

Guys asking for money
Make sure that Grindr double check profiles from guys asking for money. To many of them.
Look up for signs like: Only Gen, Gen, no free sex, etc.
Those guys shouldn't be allowed to be on Grindr asking for money.35 votes -
Expiring photo spam
App should automatically Filter blank profiles that send only an expiring photo. I typically get a few a day. Blank profile messages nothing but an expiring photo and it's always advertising a porn site like NSAsex.net or something like that. Profile usually disappears after a few minutes as well

Block IP addresses
You should be able to block IP addresses to avoid them being able to creat new profiles. I literally rejected a guy & he created 4 new profiles just to troll me since I rejected him. HOW IS THIS FAIR OR SAFE. I reported the profiles & blocked them & nothing. Just for them to create a new one. If you block the IP address they won't be able to create a new profile no matter what no through cell phone or laptop at least not in that location or devices which would make me feel safer. also make it…

Trackers need to be Abolished
Stop using 500 trackers when you pay large amounts of money for paid membership. It’s a huge invasion of privacy. Despicable. If people really understood what their data I was being used for not a single person would be on this platform.

Verification
Grindr to introduce a verification badge. Much like other social media networks that have verified a users identity. This would help with identity fraud and also other people using your photos.

Location and privacy

The new "grunt" sound overrides custom sounds - fix this
Please make all sounds customizable.
I used to be able to customize notification sounds in Android. Now the "grunt" sound won't allow itself to be overridden.
It's creepy for a human-like sound to come out of my phone randomly, and it'd be even creepier to hear it coming out of someone else's phone.
Fix your shit plz. I dislike having to turn off all notifications but it's not a realistic option to keep this sound on.
The divide between grindr not working well and sniffies just working is growing and growing...even reddit is better for hookups at this point.

Fake profiles, escorts, etc.
Fake profiles are not being handled by Grindr. I get guys who I've reported creating new profiles EVERY DAY and contacting me again -- there needs to be verification like a government-issued ID. If a profile with that ID has been reported/blocked/banned, they obviously should NOT be able to just create a new profile with the same ID. Also all the escorts need a separate category - any "regular" guy who asks if we're "generous" is an escort. The word "generous" if used should generate a pop-up warning. Pre Ban
Hi.
I feel like users should receive a warning before they get permanently banned, something like a pre ban. Most users bypass the rules and everything else. I got banned because I used one of my half nude pictures as my profile picture. I also think the Grindr team should inform the users why they got banned, what the reason was, I had to figure why I got banned by myself.

HPV vaccination status
What about adding HPV vaccination status to the new vaccines section? Also resources and knowledge on the subject will really help the community.
Having recently contracted HPV through somebody on the app I don’t want to spread it and put someone through what I’m experiencing and it’s a turn off to bring up in conversation.

only fans and trans prostitutes
90% of the pokes I get are either trans prostitutes or only fans content creators begging and scrounging for people to pay to look at their junk. They are poking, but not viewing my profile. I automatically report all profiles as spam that poke without viewing. Grindr must have a way to quickly isolate all profiles that poke without viewing and block their IP address permanently.

HPV Vaccine Status
Add HPV vaccine (eg., Gardasil) as an option under “Vaccinated for” in user profiles along with Mpox, Covid, and Meningitis. May consider adding Hepatitis A and B vaccines too (eg., Twinrix).

Ban Appeals
There needs to be a better way about appealing bans. You should tell the user why they have been banned.
I’ve just received a ban and I’ve been on gridnr for over 10 years on/off and I’ve never done anything. I’ve contacted Grindr regarding the only very small possibility (created another account) and I’ve received no response. That was two days ago. There needs to be a better way of contacting Grindr directly?
