2. hide from an individual

   I think there should be a setting where we can chose to hide our profile from certain individuals, i know therfe is incognito option but that is to be invisible to everyone, you get annoying individuals who do get obsessive and when they get banned they come back with a new account and it gets tiring repeating the reporting process, so how about a setting where we can chose to go incognito to just an individual and not to everyone as having a paranoid ex that ive had to have the police contacted countless times, when he has seen me online and knows im online he leaves me alone, but when i block him he comes back with new proflies and it just riles them up. i dont know just an idea? sorry for going into detail

3. AGE VERIFICATION

   It's no secret that there are unfortunately a lot of underage teens who easily access this app and either lie about being 18 or admit it and people still don't care. Age verification using a drivers license, ID, or passport is very important so that people can be sure that they aren't being tricked and so that minors can be protected and not be able to easily access the app. Also so that older people do not lie about being younger. Transparency is very important especially in an app with such an intimate aspect to it. I hope this gets implemented soon to protect our youth and our community as a whole! Thank you.

4. Verified users should be marked and there should be a filter.

   Start verifying users who put up their face pics. There’s too many fake profiles and users scamming people. Grindr needs to actively participate in the safety of the queer community. We are a minority and we do not have the same opportunities to meet people like the heteronormative social space. Verified users should be able to search other verified users.

5. Age filter that goes BOTH WAYS

   I am 18. I have my filters set to 18-22. For every users safety, there should be a way to filter out the people who are not in this age range from contacting ME. I am constantly disgusted to open my messages and find gross messages and pictures from 60 year old men. I don’t even want them looking at my profile.

7. Middle ground for Online and Offline

   Having a better way to be on the app discretely. Active (greenlight), not active (not looking atm) and offline. Online being active or seitching to offline is a dead give away, because we all know after 7 days of inactivity your profile gets labeled offline. There should be a middle ground for people who want to be on the app, but aren’t actively looking for a hookup that moment. Without looking like a Bot profile or just lurking on offline all the time.

10. Banning abusive narcissists and stalkers maybe?

    At a loss for words. My best friend was abused by a narcissist for over a year. He confronted his abuser and the narcissist retaliated by filing a temporary restraining order against my best friend over total lies. My best friend has been receiving texts from unknown numbers. He’s been threatened but then received photos of the parking lot where he works and of the street he lives on. Stalking 101 right? The texts referenced the narcissist by name and The narcissist had just popped up again after laying low for about two months. It’s not a coincidence. The narcissist hads been flagged and reported to grinder several times by several people. They know the profile and have proof of the texts that my best friend is being stalked. The reports started Monday. It’s now Thursday and Grindr has done nothing. The narcissist is still on the grid and active. They haven’t responded to any of us either. People could potentially be in harms way. Am I crazy or is this bananas to anyone else?

    Banning the use of the word “Gear” or other drug related terminology within the Bio or Profile to prevent drug dealers or exposure to recovering substances abusers to sell or relaps. Allow for tags, sure, like scruff does. But this way it’s a little more discrete to the makes it less accessible.

18. Please restore the ability to view the most recent profile to view yours

    Non-subscribers used to be able to see just 1 profile in recent views. This meant we were also able to block profiles that we felt suspiciously viewed ours multiple times without contacting us. Please restore this feature so we can block unwanted repeat viewers if we wish to, or at least create a feature to block the profile that most recently viewed yours even if you don't allow us to view the full profile.

19. How blocking can be abused

    A feature that is troubling me is that people can block you and the chat abruptly dissapears. This often happens after the sender has said something offensive. It has more to do with the people than with the app. But still since the chat and the account dissapears, there's no way to report that account. I think the chats still should be present after someone has been blocked. Please do something about this issue.

    Also, another privacy concern that comes with this issue is that people can see your picture and then they block you. You don't even get to know who they are. This can be a big issue for discreet folks. Not everyone has a model face, and I've seen people suffer from self esteem issues due to always getting blocked right after sending their pictures.
