Too many paid-only features
Over the years, Grindr has become less and less useful until you pay up ridiculous subscription prices. More and more features stripped away from free accounts. The most intrusive and constant Ad's at every screen. Even some privacy/protection features which should be a basic addition, are stripped unless you pay.
Make unlimited blocks available to everyone. Grindr is full of crazy and dangerous people and making users pay to make sure they can disconnect from those people, makes it look like privacy and security is a privilege.
Add the ability to unsend messages or photos to all users. Sometimes midway, you realize perhaps someone isn't safe anymore and any visuals or information you may have provided then, should be able to redacted for safety concerns. Again, profits over user safety.
Stop filling up my inbox every morning with Ads. I pay so I don't have to see them. What the hell?
Drop this whole "tier" system. Nobody else does this. Why does Grindr? Make a Free or Premium version and call it a day. The fact that each tier unlocks little by little is just stupid.
Moderation has become such a joke. I've encounter someone using my photos on Grindr, with horrible things being said in their bio 3 times now, which has caused damage to my reputation in my community. Each time I've reported the profile, it takes a week to get them removed. On one of those occasions, the mods even banned my own account as well.
Reports need to be prioritized from the most severe to the least so they can be acted upon quicker. Also, for people who repeat things like this, instead of banning their email, ya'll need to start banning their IMEI's because they literally just come back under a new email and start trouble again.Guys, get on board with these bugs. Every release introduces new ones. I know you run a beta program for upcoming versions. What are you doing during that time? The latest update now won't show taps until the app is force closed and reopened. I get notifications for taps but nothing shows up until I restart the app.
