Filter Out NSFW Profile Pics
I mostly used Grindr to make new friends, and occasionally to go on dates. I don’t really use it for hook-ups, and I wish there was a way for me to scroll through the app without having to see so many NSFW profile photos (i.e. ass photos, crotch shots, underwear pics etc.). It makes it really hard to open the app at all in a public setting. One solution would be to make the ‘Face Photo Only’ filter free to all, or perhaps a new free filter could be developed that would detect and hide pictures with nudity.

Twitter profile tag
A tag for users to add to their profile to signal that they might be on Twitter, without needing to say it in their bio or link their Twitter at the bottom of their profile and risking having weird people follow their Twitter.

"Neutro" Role
Hi, I'm Chilean and I think that the app should include a slightly normalized role, in my country it's known as "Neutro", and it identifies those men who have sex with other men, but don't like anal penetration.
It is good that the app includes it to be able to recognize us better, if you do not feel comfortable practicing anal sex or if you prefer other sexual practices that do not include anal penetration, you can consider the "Neutral" role.

There is a Leather category. However there is nothing for good old bondage. Some people want to get tied up and gagged. Those people exist on Grindr but tough to filter to find.

Separate "straight" men
Find a way to put "straight" men looking for trans women and trans women separate. These men are very rude and aggressive towards gay men. They invade our space and get upset when gay men approach them, not to mention all the space they take from guys I am actually interested in.

Add "chubby chaser" tags or better body type filtering
I'm a big guy. Obviously not everyone is into that but there are a lot of people who are, and currently it's impossible to actively seek them out because of how limited the body type filter and tags are.
There's a "chub" tag so why isn't there a "chubby chaser" one?
I'm not a gainer myself but I also don't know why there are tags for tentacles and bathwater kinks but literally nothing for the gaining/feeding fetish which is definitely more popular than bathwater(?!)Or add a "types I'm into" section in profiles like Scruff and other apps have so…

Filter for ethnicity type users are looking for
I feel that it would be best to add to the filter ethnicity types to help better search the kind of men each grindr member is looking for.
So far it’s good since we can search between tops, bottoms and versatile but adding the choice of ethnicity we are looking for would be a tremendous help and make this app so much better.6 votes -

Add “cuddles” to the “what we’re looking for” tag
Some people are asexual or sometimes just arent currently looking for sex. Sometimes, we’re just wanting to hold or be held- no sex. So many people will think “cuddles/cuddling” as a name means to cuddle and then have sex- it would be more efficient to have a “position” as “cuddle” or “no sex” even. Having your position only eludes to the fact that u might wind up wanting sex. We need something for those of us with a strict no sex boundary for that time period at least.

Updating our Vaccine options and adding the HPV
hey dear Grindr team, I'm currently updating my profile entries. I also got vaccinated against human papillomaviruses (HPV), a really nasty virus! and would like to add that to my profile. simply for the visibility of the virus, which is relatively unknown among men. and that, at best, this also leads to conversations. Can you guys not make all filters with a close area code a must and a face picture a must i see people that no picture and hundreds miles
Fix the app so everyone has to have a picture of face and a zip code showing there location a must and show guys there local area not hundreds of miles away it's always air miles not real driving miles and I like seeing men on mine not women keep them separated i dont like to see a woman im gay i like to see men can you not fix this make this all a must for all

Grindr should be for men seeking men. & cellphone verification should be required with a text code
Grindr should make a separate app for mf couples, trans, and all other individuals seeking something other than male for male interaction. Also, due to the high number of fake profiles I think creating a Grindr account should require text authentication, preferably with a system that can detect when 3rd party text apps are being used. This would protect peoples privacy and increase safety for everyone.

Background
Would be good to be able to select what background type you want tk search for. All, white, mixed, middle eastern, Asian, black whatever so that you could filter your search if you are only into 1 or 2 types or backgrounds
