Discreet icon but not discreet caption
What is the point of creating a discreet icon if the name of the 'Grindr' app is displayed underneath it?
This only happens on the iOS version, whereas on Android the name displayed is correct (e.g. ToDo app icon with ToDo caption).2 votes -
A better incentive for subscription
Grindr would have more success allowing us to read XTRA profiles and send messages for free rather than just seeing a thumbnail. The same for Taps. Make them free to see. If a hot guy is messaging me you are more likely to get an XTRA subscription if I have to pay to reply. Simple!

Unban people
A lot of people are banned unfair.
Grindr support is not fair. They don't took time to investigate what happened. If you send: when I will be unbanned. They always answer the same: sorry to hear, we know banned can be really upset, unfortunality we can't give any info about your ban for privacy reasons. This decision is final the case is closed.My idea will be too unban me!!!!

2FA Secure Login & Devices Logged In
Safe Login - Most social media apps now use authenticatior app validation. This will secure the right login being made by specific individuals.
Device - Scruff has a feature where you can check what devices you are currently/previously logged in to and sign out of any you don't recognise or are no longer valid.

Fix “Show me on explorer” and Distance.
Even if these features are TURN OFF. It doesn’t work. New profiles still finding your profile and Taping you. NEW users text you Saying you’re close to them.

Add filter to filter out transgender
Add a filter to restore the option for gay men to use Grindr. Trans need either thier own app or Grindr shoulr alow men seeking men, which was the basis for Grindr, to filter our trans profiles. Trans people profiles would still show for those that are interested in Trans.

Account banned thinking I am spam
I request to improve Grindr system to have enhanced checks like the other dating app does. I was banned in error assuming I am spam
Tinder/hinge/bumble all check for spam/profile photo verification account is created. That’s instant. None of the other apps bans in middle of chats. That’s very disappointing!On Grindr, I have been waiting since weekend. My whole weekend got spoilt. I’d like you to escalate this so that users are not left banned for long periods without violating anything! This has happened with me several times in last. Pls escalate this!

Block new conversations from anonymous/blank profiles
As an additional feature for XTRA/Unlimited users, add a setting where we can block new conversations from anonymous or blank profiles - no messages, no tapping. Divert them to a new tab to review. Competitor products are offering this feature, making the experience on those platforms much more enjoyable.

Everyone turns their distance off. If they do they should not be able to see the distance of others This should encourage more to turn distance on

Support team should be available in application and it should be available for anytime.

messages that work reliably would be amazing!
messages are not sending, messages are not coming in. sometimes i get notifications with message text, but the message is nowhere to be found in the app. other times the notifications come hours or days after they were sent, despite frequent use/restarts/ good service. other times messages appear or disappear then reappear, half of chats disappear. so frustrating! isn’t MESSAGING one of the simplest things an app can do? why is this so shitty?!?

Bring back the delivered vs sent in messages
The entire time i’ve used the app for the past half decade they’ve asked for more money for read receipts which is just laughable. You can ask for more money for genuine services that can’t be offer for free anywhere else. Everyone had free read receipts whether they realized it or not. It’s something so small and inconsequential that they’re only holding it back because it’s another thing like Tinder. Where they’ll lock up everything the app is and means to be behind ridiculous prices, expecting people who can barely pay bills (which is most of us), or people who…

Map
When someone shares their map location with me, keep the location map pinned for easy reference later. I don’t want to have to annoyingly scroll through lengthy chat to find the location map they shared earlier in the chat. Create an icon like the album, or allow a shortcut available somewhere to access quickly! PLEEEASE!!
