Boost Popup is Intrusive.
I get it. Boost is revenue for your company. But I am already s lying customer. Why do you pop it up when I'm in the middle of trying to type something and almost accidentally click it. If I wanted to boost then it should be in my settings and only display when I tap it. Now it just pops up at random times when I'm scrolling my grid and could cause unwanted taps. Can't create account or login without Google Play Services installed
I don't have google play services installed by choice for privacy reasons, but the Grindr app doesn't let me set up an account or login. Google services should be a soft dependency, used when they're available, but not critical.
There's nothing Grindr does that requires google services, account sign up should be via Grindrs servers, location can be via android location permissions, and notifications can be via email or unified push

when you block someone, possibility to choose "block all profiles that may come from the same user". this would avoid having to block the same person each time he creates a new profile or with a new email

community help and standards issue.
I get you want to protect the community but protecting them when they’re wrong and not informed is inhumane and inconsiderate of you. you’re causing more harm then good you basically keep making them stupid and behave in inhumane ways and justify that behavior when you’re not helping the community you’re training them to be killers. This is a hook up app not to instill misinformation and make them into something they’re not. Quit manipulating them immediately.

Applying Penalties To Rude Users
I think for a while now, I as well as a lot of others have been the victim of extremely negative behavior when talking with other users on the app. This can come at a cost of mental health and while blocking does exist, sometimes it does not feel like enough. I don’t know how it would be implemented but I believe that certain accounts should be essentially shadowbanned, as in their reach and availability to other people should be lowered for a period of time after being reported. The quality of people! Tell you they are on their way to meetup then just never come and don’t respond and leave you on read like it’s funny
I’m not sure how to exactly fix this other then maybe have something like a button that becomes available when two people agree to meet that they both have to click. If someone clicks it but doesn’t show they could potentially be banned from Grindr. People need to have consequences to ultimately repetitive emotional damage they are causing someone. And then say you block them…well they delete their acct daily anyway and make a new one and do it all over again. It’s sick, it’s twisted, and I don’t even get how people can act or think like that.

Device - Scruff has a feature where you can check what devices you are currently/previously logged in to and sign out of any you don't recognise or are no longer valid.
