Fixing Album Privacy: Mutual Unlocks and Anti-Ghosting Safeguards
My biggest problem with the app is how the album feature works. Sometimes someone refuses to show me their album, maybe because I'm not their type or because they know me personally, but they still get to look at mine if i shared first. This feels very unfair. It would be much better and fairer if the app had a rule where nobody can open my album unless they have also shared their album with me first. Additionally, to prevent people from just looking and immediately blocking, the app should not allow users to block each other until both albums…

Gender identification button at registration new profile
I have to buy every month unlimited because not more transgenders or bisexual copule or girl are available near to my position because this’s app only for man… Please add a new button to the profile registration to specify identity and search preferences:
- Man seeking man ecc ecc
- Woman seeking bisexual couples or submissive men
- Couple seeking a man or a woman
- In summary, add a Gender Identification and what gender are youlooking for to the profile registration. include all relevant non-heteronormative options, We recommend adding a multi-select genre option to facilitate category matching using tribes.

Shush! The NPNC solution. Turn on SHUSH so no pic profiles get “shushed” before they get to say their famous “hey”
Simple optional feature. No photos? Then you can’t message us unless you share or send a photo directly first. We need incentives to get users to stop having any photos. There are far too many. If you’re interested enough to message us, show us who you are. Everyone deserves to know who they’re talking to. A face pic is basic transparency and mutual respect. Give people the same openness you expect from them. But please dont make this feature only for paid members. It wont work otherwise. The feature to shush them em up! is for those who already share.

I’m using Grindr on an iPhone 15, and I have two major concerns regarding notifications and privacy.
Custom notification sounds: When I’m using the app, the notification sound I selected in Grindr’s settings works correctly. However, when I’m not using the app, incoming notifications play the default Grindr notification sound instead. This can make people around me suspicious that I’m using Grindr. Please allow users to use their selected notification sound even when the app is running in the background.

Issue with the placement of “Right Now” button
I find the placement of the “right now” button (the little bubble on the lower right corner) is extremely annoying. There were many times I accidentally activated this feature while scrolling.

Over engineering
Lately there are too many “new” things on Grindr. Over engineering features on the app is destroying my experience. The new discrimination tool of matching echos a rhetoric of entitlement and is creepy to be giving inappropriate usage analysis information to a buyer. Guys who go around saying “we’re not a match”, are generally unkind and this diverts from the “say what your into, not what your not”
Yet with all of this, the grid still bugs out and freezes, messages improperly load. And my usage of the app is given to any creep with $350.00

There's a stupid fucking AI feature and the layout has changed for no fucking reason. This is getting shittier and shittier along with the incessant ads, the sex bots, the overpriced membership...AND NOW THERE'S AN AI TAKING YOUR PRIVATE DATA to recommend you to people it thinks you'd like. Maybe just maybe HUMANS WANT TO CHOOSE WHO THEY SPEAK WITH WITHOUT A SHITTY AI WATCHING THEIR EVERY MOVE.
