Ban users based on text string
I accidentally engage with 1 onlyfans creator and now I'm inundated with taps from guys who are only on grindr to farm olyf subs. Aside from it being slightly questionable on the data management side, it's having quite a negative impact on my experience and I'd like to be able to do something about it. I'd like to enter a text string and hide anyone that has that in the bio/description.

Be able to see more profiles than the ones that are defaulted to our viewing area
Whatever our default in viewing area is, we only can view those profiles and respond. We should be able to view and respond to other profiles that are in the explorer section without being charged or make it so that we can view and respond to those profiles in the explore areas maybe like once a week or something.

Take all of your algorithms and AI and instead of stalking and targeting those of us trying to use the app as intended....how about you actively focus on eliminating the BS, the FO requests, the solicitations and links to other sites...instead of just saying you are trying. Filter profiles to show only profiles with “Taken by Grindr” face photos
Please add a filter option that allows users to show only profiles that have face photos with the “Taken by Grindr” watermark. This would make it easier to avoid potential catfish accounts, improve trust, and help users quickly find profiles with verified in-app photos.

Email verification should be required!!!
Grindr is like one of the few platforms that do not require email verification to be a registered user.
This is definitely what attributes people to remain completely anonymous and act like fraudent criminals. It has allowed the level of spam and in my personal experience it has helped drive a campaign of mass community harassment and stalking fed by rumors. It should also be required for your phone number to get associated with your account. And no VoIP numbers. Legitimate numbers.

Allow for in-app purchases without Apple App Store
I occasionally pay for Xtra. Unfortunately, as someone on an iCloud family plan- I quickly learned that my “plan organizer” gets emailed receipts from all members (regardless of me paying with Apple gift cards). This means my mom has been getting my Grindr receipts, which is a huge privacy concern.
As such, I’ve had to leave my family plan and request to rejoin any time I want to pay for a boost or membership. However, even that doesn’t feel secure since the receipt doesn’t seem to be sent out until the membership ends, which means I sometimes have to leave…

Only fully completed profiles should be allow to chat with other completed profiles
Only allow completed users profiles (basic demographic data and a real picture, we can identify fakes with AI in no time so there's no excuse for profiles pictures getting approved with landscapes) profiles that are not completed can not communicate with profiles that have the data on their profile. Its very annoying to being increpated with a blank profile asking several questions about myself when I don't even know what kind of potential creep is looking at my profile.

queria deixar uma sugestão pro app que acho muito necessária pra realidade do Brasil: o Modo Segurança Brasil. Aqui tudo acontece muito rápido, as pessoas se conhecem e se encontram sem referência, rola encontro em casa, em festa, na rua, em evento, e muitas vezes isso envolve risco real. Falta uma ferramenta simples dentro do próprio Grindr que ajude de verdade na proteção do usuário. Algo prático, tipo botão de emergência, compartilhamento de localização quando a pessoa vai se encontrar com alguém, opção de check-in antes e depois do encontro, alertas de comportamento suspeito, histórico seguro, selo de perfil confiável…
