Sound on videos.
There is no sound on videos. It has never worked for me.

Free taps
It's actually bullshit that taps cost money to view now... whats even the point of them?? It's a primary fuckin feature of the app but now you need to pay for it? Keep driving away your userbase, great business practices.

Use numeric input with up/down controls instead of an age slider
Change the age input from a slider to a numeric text box with increment and decrement (up/down) buttons for easier and more precise entry.

Merge Taps and Conversations
It's silly to have Views and Taps in the same category, as they indicate completely different level of interest from the visitor. A viewer may have 0 interest in you while a tapper has. Taps are kind of empty messages, they should be groupped together.

Changing the age settings from 18-22
I’m younger so I don’t want anyone too out my age range so 18-22 was already good why was it changed to 18-23… and the app is full of bots.

Adds or subscription
You have so many adds on this thing it's barely possible to use it anymore without your phone baring out random adverts or the app freezing up after loading an add which makes you close it and open it again for another add.
If you're going to put so many adds on this subscription should just be for an add free versions and features should be unlocked as standard.
Choose a lane and go through features for money or cramming adverts down users throats doing both is clearly just trying to annoy users into giving you more money9 votes -
Random profiles on the grid
Why are random profiles placed next to you on the grid. You think they are very close but upon opening them they are very far away. Quite annoying. Show more profiles locally!!! The ads that pop up everywhere more than pay for the free accounts. Plus I do pay occasionally when I travel but may stop now because your recent changes are not for the better

New idea for the app - toxic hookup culture
So many gay/lgbtq+ people, especially the younger ones are being subjectified to toxic hookup culture as soon as they are able to legally be on the app and grindr still uses the term dating app.
So I think that since there now is a right now section for hookups there needs to be a dating section for gay, bi and trans alike to date and not be forced into toxic hookup culture, especially with rising mental health issues amongst lgbtq+ individuals
How can we make our communities safe places if we are constantly forcing hookup culture and toxic behaviour down…1 vote -
Gender Filter
There has been a huge influx of female-presenting accounts. Nearly all of them are only on Grindr to promote their OnlyFans pages. The majority of taps I get are from women in their mid-thirties. I have absolutely zero interest in women and I think it’s weird that they’re even allowed on Grindr. But, if they must stay, we deserve a feature that filters profiles by gender preference. I don’t want to see women (who are really just spam accounts) and I don’t want them to see me.
