    I'll pay for the app the moment I have the option to hide profiles without a picture from my view & to hide my profile from profiles without a picture. There is no good reason to not have a picture or to allow profiles without a picture, I assume the absolute worst & IME that assumption is true/valid. I want to find Love, a relationship with someone I can be proud to be with. I asked about 100 of them some variation of "why no pic?" & have never had one give a reason. IME these are very bad & dangerous people.

11. Bring back Favorites tab by replacing the newly added Right Now tab

    Honestly, placing such emphasis on the Right Now option that it has to exist both as a tab and a filter is beyond me. I have ended up using the Favorites option very seldom since it became a filter. It just isn't practical as a filter.

    Either keep the ads and keep us the ability to see who tapped us without XTRA, or lose the ads and stop phasing out all your free features to an XTRA subscription. The greed is insane.

16. Suggestion for Improving the “Explore” Feature on Grindr

    Hello, I’d like to point out an issue I noticed with the “Explore” feature that can significantly impact the user experience.

    When we select a location on the map to explore profiles in that area, the expected behavior is that profiles will be displayed based on their distance from the selected location, within a certain radius — as shown in the attached image.

    However, according to the information provided by support, the app now shows a curated selection of profiles when using Explore, aiming to highlight the “best” matches and potential connections. The exact criteria used for this selection aren’t clear, but this approach can result in profiles being displayed that are not necessarily near the selected location, which can be misleading.

    Practical example:
    Let’s say I plan to go to a bar, and I use Explore to check for nearby profiles. I select the bar’s location, see several profiles within 500 meters, and decide to go. Once I get there, I realize those profiles are actually 1 to 2 kilometers away — in completely different directions. This defeats the purpose of exploring by location.

    There’s another important side effect: in the community, top profiles are relatively rare. Bottoms tend to seek out tops exclusively, while versatile users usually prefer either other versatiles or tops. As a result, both bottoms and versatiles are drawn to tops, but not to each other. This leads to tops getting significantly more attention, which may cause them to appear more prominently — while bottom and versatile profiles that may be closer and more compatible remain buried in the list.

    So when a top uses Explore, they may end up mostly seeing other tops that were algorithmically highlighted, while potentially compatible nearby profiles are missed.

    Suggestion: the profile ordering should strictly follow distance from the selected location. If additional filtering or curation is used, it would be best to offer it as an optional feature, rather than the default.

17. More words in profile section

    Can Grindr allow its users to use at least 30-40 more words in there main profile please. 255 characters does not cut it especially if you are using this site in a attempt to find both relationships and hookups in my case RN more relationships. Only being allowed 255 letters not even words in my profile is beyond annoying.

18. Non disclosure

    Instead of just accusing users of advertising and solicitation, maybe quote where such user has dine so. User may have unwillingly made this error yet get threatened with banning of account. Maybe you should just ban everyone with no proof. This app is losing momentum. Specially with all these unsolicited adverts which is a complete irritation. Grindr needs to get with the times and take that carrot out its backside
