Have an “Are you sure” option when sharing NSFW pics with someone who has “Never” on
There is a “Accepts NSFW” option on a profile, with “Alway” “Never” and “Not at First” as options but these are purely performative - nobody reads profiles or cares in the slightest.
Tinder has a feature where when you use an explicit word in a chat, it will ask “are you sure, this user may find this offensive” before you hit send.
Similarly, if a recipient has “Never” marked for NSFW pics, there should be a warning to someone sending that the person may not receive it well, or they may not get a response, etc. Or the pics should…

AGE VERIFICATION
It's no secret that there are unfortunately a lot of underage teens who easily access this app and either lie about being 18 or admit it and people still don't care. Age verification using a drivers license, ID, or passport is very important so that people can be sure that they aren't being tricked and so that minors can be protected and not be able to easily access the app. Also so that older people do not lie about being younger. Fix app bugs
How about we stop putting out new features and focus on fixing the problems with the current features first. Also let’s try to prioritize responding to reports from users (both paid and free users) and not make them wait over a month for a response. One last suggestion is maybe it would be a good idea to test a feature to iron out the bugs before rolling it out to the masses.

Verified users should be marked and there should be a filter.
Start verifying users who put up their face pics. There’s too many fake profiles and users scamming people. Grindr needs to actively participate in the safety of the queer community. We are a minority and we do not have the same opportunities to meet people like the heteronormative social space. Verified users should be able to search other verified users.

Where is Chat Backup feature and other problems
So this app has been out for a decade+. And it’s the only app out there that has literally gotten so much bugs, glitches and just overall plan out shitty. Ethnicity filter or an ethnicity tag.
I am a person of color and would love to find others like myself for a sense of community. It’s not racist to have a preference or to want to connect with those who can understand you more culturally. I moved from a city that was mostly Caucasian and received more hateful messages when the filter was removed.

Age filter that goes BOTH WAYS
I am 18. I have my filters set to 18-22. For every users safety, there should be a way to filter out the people who are not in this age range from contacting ME. I am constantly disgusted to open my messages and find gross messages and pictures from 60 year old men. I don’t even want them looking at my profile.

Make app less glitchy
Any time you get a tap it freezes the app. You can't even scroll on messages without it getting an error message. The adds are way too long. It's not even fun to use any more
