2. Open Shared Location in Google Maps

4. Block viewed me

   Grindr needs to restore the block button on the "viewed me" page. This is a safety issue. There are people/profiles who can/will constantly look at your profile without ever making contact. Without the block button, we will have to go looking for them and if they have no info on their profile how are we supposed to find them? Yes it can be an inconvenience, and yes some might prefer it isn't there, but this will become a serious nuisance.

   In the past i have had experience of completely blank (i.e. no pics/info) profiles that have repeatedly looked at my profile in a short period of time and i had no recourse but to block them. In these cases i would be unable to find them and all i would have would be a report button. Would Grindr act if i reported someone for repeatedly looking at my profile? I doubt it. Are we really being expected to pay to stop unwanted attention? You need to restore this for free users.

5. Ability to make notes on anyone

   You really need to make it possible to create notes on anyone. Having to make them a favorite first makes no sense. Those two features should be completely independent of each other.

7. GRINDR on my laptop.

   I used Grindr for a while on my laptop and it was great, then the availability disappeared. Bring it back so we can access Grindr on all of our devices. I believe you'd pick up more users.

8. Outdoor and beach

   Meeting point restaurant or café might be good for some. What's about beach? In summer it's a convenient place for both meeting groups and cruising. Same outdoor in general.

10. Please allow professionals to advertise for the clients you stole from us

    Dear Grindr,

    I am appalled at the fact that the platform constantly bans those who are posting in a professional manner, with no mention of anything “illegal” or against terms of service. There should be no reason my profile should be banned, simply because I post that I’m looking to offer a relaxing experience.

    Let members pay you a small fee to advertise, verify their photos and ID. I truly dislike this culture that Grindr has CREATED, that says: You should be able to host and/or drive to me…for FREE. People want Uber/Lyft convenient sex, but don’t want to pay for it. With gas at $4 a gallon in many areas, why should I drive 20-30 miles across town everytime I want to meet a guy (in the metro area I live it is), for a meaningless hookup and then have to pay for my own gas? or have to get a hotel room that’s $100/night because Mr. DL/cheating on his BF can’t host? It’s nonsense

    Grindr needs to stop trying to pretend they are a dating service. It’s not. It’s an virtual bathhouse. Majority of the guys I’ve met from it are all just looking for quick NSA sex. That’s why I feel it’s unfair to penalize those who are looking for an alternative.

    Please do the right thing, and stop banning members. You stole from us clients that we have worked hard for years to maintain, and now adding insult to injury by blocking an alternative method to reach.

    If you are traveling to a new city, there should be a tab where you can set up a traveling profile. On the profile you can name the town or city you are traveling to, and the dates that you are visiting that location. It eliminates the need for you to message multiple profiles with the explore feature before you travel, and allows the possibility of people at the destination to message you before you leave. They will see the dates in which you are traveling, and how close you will be to their location. The person in the destination city can determine if they will be there for the selected dates, and if you will be close enough to them. It could spark lots of conversations!

13. Create some version of AOL Instant Messenger's old "Warn" feature for flakes/fake profiles

    In addition to the usual spam/bot accounts, this app has way too many users who either have fake profiles or lead people on without ever intending to actually meet (presumably most of them are just pic collectors). I would wager that all of us have experienced this multiple times. Grindr and other apps need create a feature similar to the Warn button that AIM had in the early 00s.

    Essentially, every user had a Warn meter that started at 0%. The feature was intended to alert others if a particular user was hostile, a scammer, or otherwise should be avoided. If someone hit the Warn button on your profile, the meter would go up a small amount, and then slowly decrease over time back to 0. If your meter got too high (because multiple other users Warned you), certain restrictions would kick in. First, the number and frequency of messages you could send would be limited and at a certain Warn level, your account would effectively be suspended for several days.

    Obviously this feature would need some tweaking and updating to work for Grindr in the 2020s and to prevent it being abused by users. But it would ACTUALLY do something to eliminate bad faith actors and fake profiles on this site if a reputation for repeated bad behavior became attached to their profiles. Even if grindr doesn't want to use it to issue bans, it would at least allow the rest of us to avoid the guys who come here with bad intentions .

16. Grindr Free Restrictions Are out of control

    Ok. The last thing you did was putting a barrier to fresh page and tying it to the Grindr extra. Now free users can only speak to first 6 people close to them on fresh page. Cool. We got it. But you’re so really desperate to make me switch to extra. You totally lost your minds and now not allowing me to block people who last viewed me. Wow. What a pathetic way of forcing people to pay for your overly priced app. At this point I guarantee you you’re just gonna lose customers. I could even design a gay dating app myself that would be a huge success because I didn’t implement this greedy shady business practices that forces people to the bone to pay for your app. I only am on Grindr because for some reason I don’t understand people choose to be on Grindr instead of other apps. I don’t understand why you’re this much greedy when you are the number 1 gay dating app. I’m not switching to f****n extra or god forbid unlimited. Because your pricing is outrageous and I won’t support your stand point ‘people are gonna pay for it anyway’ restrict the free version to 6 people also on nearby section. And don’t even let me explore or give me 3 chances to message someone in a day. I’m still not paying for your overpriced app. Full stop.

    This app suck way to many fake profiles people illegally use Grindr to set other up for criminal charges way to many under age people on grinder saying they of age I feel 20 is a good age to be in order to have a grindr profile,( picture age verification). I'm a victim of being illegally set up and framed cause someone wanted to lie and disguise the real identity or age I feel to stop all this we should require anyone wanting to obtain a Grindr profile should need to send the first photo of the state issue or Driver license for age and local verification. As a victim a guy NAMED Eric Schmidt used Grindr was able to communicate with me then failed to tell me the really age, not only that the photo was even the person I was to me. However I was not arrested due to him violating my privacy and my rights. Grindr need to do a lot more to protect it user and their safety I witness people being killer cause of lack of safety and verification. Grindr worried about guys making money off them or worried about someone having 420 on their profile when they need to be check seeing who is real or a bott and fake

20. Location in my opinion is way off. Ie: 48 miles away is not nearby. Or 67 miles away. I'm in PA so why am I getting profiles from NY/NJ

    Fix the issues on location. It defeats the whole point of the app. Meetups/friends nearby etc...
