Scroll down function does not work.... please fix.
The scroll down function does not work on (web and app). It worked a few days ago - perfectly. Now it is awful. Please fix!
Also, when I scroll down, the app is constantly forcing me back to the top of my messages. Why? ... just a few days ago this was not an issue. Now it is.
The reason a user scrolls down is to find one (or many) previous conversations. It does not make sense to force the user back to the top of the user's messages, after the user takes all the effort to scroll down.

The new upgrade is having some fails with the autorefresh. When some text you dont show Unless you close and open again the app

Mark pictures as "Viewed"
When sending pictures, mark them as "Viewed" rather then "Delivered"

Bring back chat backup
The old chat backup worked perfectly. This new message sync is making the app very unstable, erratic and unusable. On top of that none of the messages back up well. On the other party's messages are backed up or 'synced'. Whereas I as the sender lose all my messages. I also can't view albums or view once pictures.

Open more results on free version
With the latest update I see maybe 3-6 people I can view. The matches are generally so poor that I’m not encouraged to pay to see more people. Seeing better matches is what would encourage me to move to the paid version to see more. This narrowing makes it way LESS likely- and more likely I’ll leave the app for something else altogether.

Sending photos only allowed if you receive a response
With new law changes in the UK, sending unsolicited photos is now a crime. So, I urge Grindr to fix their community guidelines and take appropriate action towards people who literally commit a crime!! Also, make it so people cannot send you a photo if you haven't interacted with their messages.

Why would you remove the search bar? It should be optional or something. You need it.

Automatically update age annually with ID verification.
To many people at 10+ years off on their age.

Filters reduce the number of profiles you can interact with
The "Tribe" "Age" and "Looking for" filters have always been allowed for all users to use and it would not reduce the number of profiles you could interact with. All three could be active and you'd be able to chat with the first, at least 40 or 50. Now when all 3 are active you can interact with the first three profiles and that's it.
It's making the app essentially useless ESPECIALLY because we weren't informed beforehand that this change would occur

Archive
Listen. There’s a lot of DL in my area and I’m often not interested when they send a face pic in private.
I hate blocking and some guys can’t handle the « not interested » text.
Archiving messages would let met keep the pictures in chat for the futur and remove the 1001 blank profiles from my inbox.

Improve performance and reduce cost
Messages sending but don't deliver for hours sometimes. The price of a subscription is unreasonable for an app that performs very poorly. Very popular app with the worst performance of any app on my phone and I have a lot of apps. Get a new developer team, the app has been unstable year in year out for literally years. Slow messages can literally ruin a connection with a guy, get it together Grindr it's just not good enough

Refresh and advertising Fight for first place
I don’t even know where to begin as far as refreshing. It used to work fine whatever y’all did just screwed it up. My best solution is if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Advertising I mean it is by far the most advertised app I’ve ever been to. I’ll start another post I guess or review to talk about the membership pricing I just vomited my mouth

AGE VERIFICATION
It's no secret that there are unfortunately a lot of underage teens who easily access this app and either lie about being 18 or admit it and people still don't care. Age verification using a drivers license, ID, or passport is very important so that people can be sure that they aren't being tricked and so that minors can be protected and not be able to easily access the app. Also so that older people do not lie about being younger. Transparency is very important especially in an app with such an intimate aspect to it. I hope this gets…

Los usuarios deberian tener que registrarse con una cuenta validada de otras redes ya que hay muchos delincuentes que usan múltiples cuentas para cometer crimenes o suplantar usuarios

Exclusion filtering
Right now it’s only possible to use filters to showcase profiles that have the selected criteria. But i’d like to see the option to not showcase certain profiles based on what they have on their profile. For instance, i’d want to filter away everyone who has “hookup” in their looking for, so that I can see profiles that arent hunting.
