I think that Grindr should rethink how the free version of the app works because I’ve just gone from Ultimate Grindr to the free version due to payment slightly out of sync with my wages.
Personally I feel that it’s ultimately rude that you cannot view the first person who’s picture isn’t blurry as I feel like I’m being rude and arrogant as well as inconsiderate of not viewing as they take their time to view the person and what if that person that has done the viewing in which you cannot view is the…1 vote -

I get so many fucking dick pics every god damn day on this app. I'm a lesbian. I don't want men to be able to send me pictures of their penis without my consent.

Disable Grunt
Who the hell thought it was a good idea to make the app give off a full volume sexual grunt when you open it? Without ANY warning. Do y’all realize that in certain areas of the world this could give people away and put them in danger? Not to mention the embarrassment of having your phone make sexual sounds in public. My phone keeps randomly making the grunt sound when it’s locked and I’m not touching it. I first heard it in the middle of the night and let me tell you it is freaking terrifying to be woken up…

Fake profiles
Get your IT department to get rid of all the fake profiles currently plaguing Grindr. I have just blocked about 7 located nearby. It doesn't matter how many times I block these fake profiles they keep reappearing. Please do something about this.

Let me limit who can message me based on distance
99% of the spam I get is from profiles thousands of kilometres away (and this spam has increased dramatically recently). I also am not really interested in chatting with people who are thousands of kilometres away, that's not the point of grindr for me. It would be great to have an option where I could set a max distance for who gets to contact me. It would reduce most of my spam and also help to ensure that the people I'm talking to are more likely to actually be real people that are near me, so an improvement for safety…

Friend request and profile sharing
While subscribed to Xtra it would a great benefit to have an option of adding friends instead of just having favourites and by being an Xtra subscriber you should then be allowed to send and share another members profile with your friend who would be attracted to them. By sharing the profile the member who receives should be able to message them even if they are out of range or country.
By sharing other people’s profiles this allows a more broad selection of men.

FEATURE: To initiate a new chat, you must first mutually "match" using the current Tap feature. Additionally, users can unmatch to end the ability to continue a chat for whatever reason.
PROS: This can encourage users to more fully complete their profiles, in effort to have a better opportunity to match with potential matches. I could see such a feature greatly reducing the number of blank and photo-less profiles, enhancing the quality of interactions all around.
