5. #8370795 Restrict One to One Video call

   The one time view pics and the album cannot be screen recorded but when we are in the video call with some one then the app is allows to record the call. This should be restricted.

8. Gear needs to be taken off as a tag

   I honestly think the gear tag needs to be taken off. It’s really horrible to see it’s being promoted, in so many aspects. I hope Grindr can see how degrading it is to promote drugs in general. Never should have been allowed.

9. Pic approval needs human verification

   I've never once tried to post a naked ass pic but I've attempted to post a clothed ass pic and it gets denied everytime because of "the guidelines" but I see a lot of profiles with ass pics. The bot approval is either bias or just doesn't work.

11. Position filter should be free

    With more positions and genders and now straights being brought in as a bottom I should be able to search for just tops without having to pay defeats the purpose of the app almost

12. All Album Access

    The whole purpose of introducing albums was to be able to control who has access to your private pictures. However, by only allowing access to a handful of albums at a time, the purpose is completely defeated. We should not have to pay to be able to have equal access to privacy and photo control. Can’t even access albums that were sent to us through the individual chats. Says albums are empty even though they are not. Just a cheap cop out from letting us access the feature for its intended purpose.

    Your biggest competition right now is Growlr, they have a feature where the users get to be LIVE in the app, this feature isn't copyrighted for instance there's a few apps with this feature like Bivo and TikTok and MocoSpace, Grindr could do with this feature, I would like to go LIVE Stream in this app being how I've noticed how many more users walk into this app in comparison, it's big monetary value, you typically set gifts to give the LIVE Streamer that cashes in the form of diamonds and user ranks, it's mega successful and is a great way of making money of your users, the App is not ALL that it COULD be, make the best of this idea, I take no ownership of this, please don't punish me for submitting ideas...thank you for your time

14. Since the upgrade

    Since the latest upgrade two days ago I've not had a single new message, ( I've sent a message and got a reply from that person, but no new ones ) or any taps and I've only been viewed by my two people. I'm thinking you've changed something so the free version we don't get seen by as many people. If that's your plan don't think for one moment I'm going to pay for something that was working perfectly fine two days ago.

15. Only 3 free chats is a bit harsh and having to explore in the nearby area instead of getting a free list as it used to be would be good

    Please restore Nearby search instead of Explore
    3 free chats only makes the app irrelevant and will turn a lot of users away. Grindr is not irreplaceable and a new player in the market could just as easily be the popular app.

17. A few basic necessities for regular users.

    1. Upgrade/eXtra prices

    ?Wtf wrong with you guys? Those gargantuan prices for what? For App which permanently doesn't refreshing or shows nonsense distance/position? Or for a "interested" adds (every f©k1n ten minutes)? Maybe its for some many others bugs and function lacks in there...

    1. Repair the goddamn refreshing and distance/position showing.

    2. I/We would appreciate a "not interested" or "dislike" button.

    Fix these things that most users consider "basic & standard" and maybe I'll (and some others too) start subscribing the premium version...

    ...but probably not at those prices.

19. Change “gear” tag to something that doesn’t also mean “drugs”

    In Australian English, and probably in a lot of other vernaculars as well, “gear” is slang for “drugs”. (Wiktionary just lists it as slang, so I’d guess it’s common across a lot of English dialects.)

    For every guy I get finding me through “gear” who is interested in hi vis or sports kit, I get about ten guys who want to sell or buy drugs. This is pretty annoying.

    I also assume Grindr as a company don’t want to be a platform for the trade of illicit drugs. So I’d suggest changing “gear” to something less ambiguous.

    I’m struggling to think of a tag to change it to… “clothes” is sort of technically correct but sounds completely wrong. “kit” kinda works but only really in British and some Commonwealth dialects.

    The tags glossary (would be helpful to integrate that better, too; when I’m adding tags to my profile it would be nice to know what they mean!) gives this definition for “gear”:

    Is aroused by fetish gear, such as harnesses, restraints, and the like.

    I’d say that’s not exactly what I mean by it, but you could just change it to “fetishgear” and keep the existing definition consistent while reducing ambiguity.
