1. Safety and privacy of gay men.

   This isn’t to bash anyone or discriminate against any gender or gender identity, but this used to be an app where gays could come to meet, hookup, chat, etc. But now with trans and CD’s making profiles on a site that wasn’t created for them, they’re taking away from the grid space that gays would otherwise have to interact. I also don’t believe that straight guys should be allowed to make profiles on grindr because I honestly believe that half of those profiles are fake and used to extract personal information from the gays that attempt to interact with them. This started as a gay app and I wish it still was. Aren’t there other specific apps for other genders and identities? Especially now since one of the main filters has been removed the grid is more crowded than ever with folks who aren’t even interested in gay guys. I’d really like this app to go back to being gay again.

4. Please create HIV status filter

   Please create HIV status filters and please create HIV status preference selections part of the main profile. Please create pop up warning when ignorant dudes write “ I’m clean” that educates them on the insensitivity of that word usage.

5. Find a better app

   Grindr just admitted to me that blocking all the fakes and professional profiles is absolutely useless,as they will reappear and it's designed that way. What are we doing here? It's time for someone to build an app that we deserve.

7. Stop opening my browser..

   What the fuck made you guys think that it was a good idea to allow ads to automatically open browsers on people's phone to malicious websites

   Nobody gives a fuck about your shitty fucking advertisers

   Forcing ads to open browsers and links and do all kinds of idiotic dangerous shit is literally against your own terms of service..

   I'm tired of seeing Firefox open just because I am logged into Grindr..
   I'm sick and tired of seeing my Play store open and try to install apps just because I'm logged into Grindr
   I'm sick and tired of my shopping apps opening and trying to force me to buy products just because I'm logged into Grindr

9. Zero Knowledge Encryption?

   It appears that Grindr is transitioning to server side cloud storage of message content however there hasn't been any clarification in the privacy policy of how this data will be protected. Given the highly intimate nature of Grindr interactions and the historical marginalization and criminalization of the homosexual community, it’s existential to the Grindr business model that identity and message content can only be accessed by the 2 intended parties. Otherwise lack of trust and confidence will eventually cause cancellations. This seemingly was not an issue earlier, when messages were end-to-end encrypted and stored on device.

10. Not enough inclusivity

    I think perhaps Grindr should rebrand into something less aggressive, like Findr, then also should be a site where everyone can have an opportunity to find friendship, sex, dates, whatever else, in the same fast fashion of IM and taps, with expanded filters to narrow down what we are looking for including heteronormative relationships, bisexual relationships, fetishists, gender-fluid relationships, and really sell the idea that everyone everywhere can find the gratification we gays seek out in the same fashion, without making people who are not "gay" men only feel excluded or shamed for their particular sexual interest. While keeping within the confines of law of course, all people should feel they can be should they choose to be, sexually desired. There truly is someone out there for everyone, and the more that idea is spread, regardless of preference I feel that deviance for deviance sake will die out. People won't have to feel like they're doing something wrong and resort to expressing themselves in the shadows for fear of being shamed in the mainstream. We all like sex, we all like to feel wanted, and we all need a safe, welcoming, inclusive app to do that in. Grindr has a great formula that many people have found enticing, but hasn't had the platform for making said people (bisexuals for instance, who want both men and women at the same time) feel they can find both men and women who are interested at the same time, in the same place. 12. Make Web version available to all for free.

    Some of us live in dangerous areas and/or in the closet.
    We cannot DOWNLOAD the APP on our PHONES and risk getting caught; THEREFORE make the WEB VERSION available to all for free.

13. Make ability to report users who have already blocked you available everywhere

    I was almost scammed by someone (to use a supposed verification website but that required your card info even though it was “free”) but before I could report them I was blocked. Apparently there is a “report recent chats” feature that lets you report people who’ve blocked you, but it’s “only available in select locations”. Make it available everywhere so we can keep this app safe!

    O Grindr no Brasil tem cada vez se tornando mais monótono, as pessoas nao estão nem tem muito motivo para ter interação uns com os outros. Por isso, tendo em mente que o Grinder é uma rede social, pensei que seria de boa procedência se tivesse a opção de adicionar "story's" ao perfil para que as pessoas podessem postar coisas do seu cotidiano, do seu dia a dia.
