2. Update is horrible.

   Can we please get the app from a month ago back? Albums crash, messages don’t show up, some won’t send unless I get off WiFi. Did we get rid of send? Offline guys not in cognito are delivered. Like why??

3. Fake gps

   Some guys actually have and use fake gps sometimes I see guys 13 -20 feet away meaning in my house and they are not it guys 2 miles away and at my place in one minute … that and the fact that some guys have more than one profile is extremely exhausting the waste of time sometimes I think Grindr pays people to create and use fake profiles … one time I saw my friends daughter pictures as a profile .. an 18 years girl .. saying that they even use Grindr to access to your phone and Facebook account what’s up text messages and calls oh and almost forget the ability of making Grindr to ban your account is amazing and incredibly how Grindr “doesn’t “ knows about these issues

4. The Ad load is now Ridiculous

   I get it’s free, but now they have made the ads so frequent and so difficult to get out of and back to the app. All while raiding their prices significantly.
   
   And there are more glitches than. Eventually some other app will come along and everyone will jump ship.

6. The app bugs a lot

   On top of my head: location not updating, chats not loading, delay in answers, notifications sent multiple times for a same message or tap, online/offline status not correct, photos appear as black background, etc etc. v24.6.1 iPhone 14 Pro.

8. Face-hiding time wasters.

   Assign unique, easy-to-remember (perhaps AI-generated) graphic to each account at creation. Think nature-scene, or modern art piece.

   Prohibit change after account creation.

   Force use of said graphic when no photo is offered, perhaps even make it a pic that can't be unshared.

   Make it easier to detect time wasters, so you needn't spend an hour typing to realize you are once again communicating with amorphous blob that your brain still has no visual reference for....

10. Prostitutes

    Please PERMANENTLY BAN all "escorts" and prostitutes from the platform. It's really not helpful for users to have their time wasted by these "reward" seekers. Grindr is described as a "Dating" app, not a place for escorts/prostitutes to promote their "services". So many operating on the app, please sort it out quickly to make it better for genuine users.

    I’ve been using this app for various years now and I think I could say I have a fair understanding of how it works. I’ve noticed there’s not a lot of options when it comes to chubbier guys. There’s no “chub” or “chaser” tribe. Just things such as “bears” and “otters” is the closest we can get. Let’s be honest, being a bigger person in this app is already hard enough as it is. The amount of judgement and toxicity you find is enough to drive you away after a while. I believe adding options to find tribes such as chubs or chasers would 100% get rid of these problems. Since we can finally seek out the kind of people who would be okay with our chubbier body types then it’d make it a lot easier to find the kind of connection you’d want to have. Instead of aimlessly hitting on people who might very clearly judge you for even approaching them in the first place because of “our weight”, we’d finally have a chance at finding people who might genuinely be interested in us.

13. Messages doesn't load

    You should consider going back on the updates because the new changes are just not working at all. The grid doesn't update regularly and the Messages are not just working. The app makes them dissaoesr. The read but unanswered messages stay as unread and the chat ins not showing the full conversations. The messages list refreshes or flashes in a useless way.

17. Increase the limit for characters in a username

    There isn't enough space for a username if someone ever wants to make theirs longer than 15 words. So why can't the character limit be increased because at the moment we don't get much things we can use to express ourselves in terms of our usernames yet its an LGBT app where people should be able to do so. Get this solved Grindr we deserve better.

    This app is the most popular app for gay MEN. For far too long there has been a massive influx of WOMEN and those that identify as FEMALE. Stop trying to be an all inclusive all and get back to your roots as an app for MEN!!
