Trans bots/toggle for trans/gay
There should be separation between straight men who are after trans individuals strictly, and gay men after gay men. On top of that, you have a massive problem with trans women bots. They’re not real people, they are scattered all over the grid. It’s obnoxious. This app gets worse and worse as the days progress, unfortunately.

Do what’s right!
You guys push for paid subscribers but your app shows many flaws. Especially a particular ethnicity that is purposefully stagnated when they remain in the same location but never see people in that location. It’s even more misleading when I travel, then see the same people in my original location. You can’t tell me I am smelling biscuits when I made cornbread! Undo the Bafoolery and give a meaningful equality to the application.

Hide profile without picture or information
It would be great for user experience, privacy and overall comfort if Grindr Extra users had the option to hide their profile from blank accounts or profiles without photos. Many of these accounts also have no age, no personal information or physical description, and are often marked as “recently added”. Adding this as an optional visibility filter could help users feel more secure and in control of their experience.

Bot detection feels more like a data-quality problem
Most of my daily taps come from accounts with identical bios, the same OF link, and a stock photo that gets reused across dozens of profiles. Reporting them helps a little, but the same templates pop up again within hours. I work on data migration projects in my day job, and was reading through an ETL migration company site the other day — it described how much gets cleaned and filtered during a move before bad records land in the new system. Filters for the Chub Community
As a Chub, I’ve been ignored, rejected, and, at times, discriminated against because of my body size. It can feel isolating when you’re part of a community that’s harder to find on the app. Sometimes it genuinely feels like I don’t belong. One idea that came to mind is improving Grindr’s filters to make it easier for people with shared interests and preferences to connect.
