HATE THE NEW FAVORITES LAYOUT!
I hate the new favorites layout there was nothing wrong with the old one. The new favorites layout makes me not want to use the app you can’t even see people’s distances anymore ! BRING THE OLD ONE BACK ASAP!

Add trip
I have an idea for a future feature. Since users can already add trips, what if Grindr could also connect travelers going to the same city during the same dates?
For example, if I’m traveling to Barcelona from August 10–17, I could see other profiles that are also visiting Barcelona during those dates. It could help people meet, make friends, attend events together, or connect before arriving.
I think this would make the travel feature much more interactive and useful.

Add Hepatitis A and C vaccination status to profile health disclosure and try to group suggestions in browse to alike health profiles
It's as the title says.
And suggested partners should be grouped to health status.
I know it's a bit restrictive, but better safe than sorry.
And help people who are positive network better with people who are, based on levels, detectability, med schedule. I know people are disclosing, but everybody needs to get tested together.

And it helps give each zip code a better support structure for when people find out they do have something.
Grindr can sponsor local doctors.
Home test kits are a good start, thank you.

Make a second app GrindHer
Too many trans women and “straight” men only seeking trans. This app was intended for men seeking men and now it’s just overrun with fake profiles, spammers only fans, subscriber, bullshit, and trans all over the place so many straight men seeking trans women that’s not what this app was made for. I’m already super limited because you only give so much free views on my feed and now most of it is taken over by straight men wanting trans even when I paid for this app, it was still the same situation. There needs to be something different.

I literally have a badge icon this morning. Opened Grindr , and without notification or giving permission, was immediately bounced into Madonna’s album in Apple Music.

Hello Grindr team,
I would like to ask if you could add a feature that allows users to block profiles based on a person's phone number. Similar to Tinder, where you can create an account and block the phone numbers of people in your contacts so that if they create a profile, they will never be able to see yours, and vice versa.
I think this would be a great privacy feature and would help users feel safer when using the app.

Issue for free account
Since many months and updates I’ve been keeping seeing people in my town grid who actually are 50 km far from my city. I compared the issue with a friend who has a paid account and it turns out he doesn’t have the same issue. I uninstalled the app, and installed again. PlanetRomeo which basically uses the same gps radius approach works fine. Is it to push people to buy subscription? I hope not, but it’s so annoying. Please advise thanks

You guys once had it and is no longer why would you take such a essential feature away given the price that (some of us) choose to pay fof membership. We should have the right and be able to search for specific users and specific messages within our invoxes. Why revoke that feature when it was genuinely one of the most convenient and distinguishing features you guys had.

profile item : where are you from, what is your origin ethnic and race
Some guys i asked, "where are you from?" then the answer is just "U.S.". It doesn't mean anything. This guy could be Indian, Mexican, African, Asian..and so on.
please add this selectbox for their origin, ethinic and race. And please make the default on for everyone's location.(it doesn't have to be accurate.)

It would be nice if you could select what you don't want to see.
It would be nice if you could select what you don't want to see rather than always having to select what you do want to see. That way you could eliminate the profiles that you have absolutely no interest in.

Discreet app icon bug with notification for free boost sessions
There is a bug where notifications for "you have free boost sessions available" appear with the Grindr icon and app name instead of the configured discreet app icon. I don't have any use for this notification category in general, and can't disable it. But more importantly it bypasses the discreet app setting
