People you hide come back at some point and are not permanently hidden
The hide feature is only good if you can hide them permanently. It does not good if someone says specifically what they want and you are not it and they just come right back. You should be able to block people that will never be interested in you.

Visible profiles of 600 reduced to 300 in Xtra
When I initially subscribed to Grindr XTRA, one of the key features was the ability to view up to 600 profiles in my area. I have recently noticed that this number has been quietly reduced to 300, while the subscription price has remained unchanged.
I find it very disappointing that such a significant reduction in functionality was made without informing existing subscribers. This change significantly impacts the value of the subscription I originally agreed to.
I kindly request that the original feature — access to 600 nearby profiles — be reinstated for existing XTRA subscribers. I believe this would be…9 votes -

Ethnicity
I am European, majored in Sociology, and feel strongly that “white” is a race… not an ethnicity. European should be added as an option. Bumble added European and “Jewish” as options. Both should be added to Grindr as well. Thank you.

Better safety and privacy for verified users.
Please add optional verified profile badge (photo/ID verification) so real users can show authenticity, while keeping unverified/blank profiles allowed.

Add a built-in safety education section for new users
I've been thinking about how many people on Grindr - especially younger users - don't really know the basics of staying safe when meeting someone from an app. Right now there's barely any guidance inside the app itself. It would be great to have a short, interactive onboarding module that covers things like sharing your location with a friend, recognizing scam profiles, and consent basics. I saw how one education software development solution approached building in-app learning flows for a health platform and it honestly felt like something Grindr could adapt. Even a simple "safety tips" section that pops up…

Can you filter profiles by “recently active” or last online time?
I’m wondering if there’s a way to filter profiles by “recently active” or see when someone was last online on Grindr. Sometimes I open the app and a lot of profiles appear nearby, but it’s hard to tell who is actually active at that moment and who hasn’t been online for hours or days. geometry dash meltdown

View/Edit Notes from Chat
Notes on profiles are very useful, thank you for that. The only thing that prevents a real good usage of Notes is the requirement to go back on the user’s profile to edit Notes, which generates a « Profile View » on his side.
Could you please add the ability to view/edit Notes directly from the Chat screen? That way, we can use Notes without alerting the other user that we were on his profile, and prevents generating pollution (i.e.: generating a Profile view each time we edit the note).
