Long ads
There are ads and I understand the functionality of them but some ads can be very long and they get more and more frequent. It's like watching an infomercial. I suggest that Grindr give a choice to view one of these long ads to gain something else in the process. Like expanding your search by (x) amount of profiles, or to give you a temporary profile boost, or even viewing the locked profiles that have recently viewed you. Block All Female Sex Worker Profiles!
I am constantly inundated by profiles (with obviously fakes pics) from supposed trans female sex workers on here. On at least 3 occasions, the individual contacting me stated that they were under 18 (I took screenshots in each case to have on-hand if they are ever needed for legal reasons). It is extremely disappointing that Grindr freely allows women on this site now, let alone women who try to offer paid sexual services to gay men (the stupidity of which is astounding!). These days I seem to spend at least 50% of my time on Grindr trying to block female…

New Alerts and Thumbnails
Can we get some sort of "Notification Dot" that alerts when people post new photos to their profile? Can we get layered thumbnails on grid? Photos and then albums floor or scroll? From the grid.

Enough with the pop ups
All the pop up ads is making the app unusable. Open the app…AD. Go to send/read message…AD. Breathe while the app open…AD. Its annoying! Then on top of that more and more basic features keep getting moved behind a paywall. Just save everyone the trouble and say the app is subscription only so we can all leave and find something better!

It’s a really sad day when as a gay man, you are forced to pay to just interact with your own community. The subscriptions are way too expensive so some features need to be free! Removing free features will earn the distrust of the community, that can’t be replaced with other customers.3 votes -

Get rid of popup adds.
This is so fucking annoying when I open the app there’s an instant add. I want to text somebody- an add. Get rid of these popup adds, the ones between profiles should be enough. Even though membership is too expensive.

I do not want the same filters applied to Favourites as the main grid
Having the same filters applied to my Favourites as the main grid makes the whole app slow and harder to use. I do not want the filters I’m using to apply to both. This change makes using the app a clumsy experience. I am far less likely to continue paying a subscription when the user experience gets worse as a result of updates.

Disable or remove the hide function
The hide function does not work properly as it hides people but does not block them. It may hide the user from the main screen, but if that person has me in their conversations or favorites list, they will still be able to contact me.

Distance variable
For rural customer, that could be great to have an option to change the value of the distance calculated by the distance to do by the road (like with maps the Google) and not by the geographic distance. For example, when I open the app I have a lot of people at less than 25 km, but when I look at the map they are at 75 km and more because we have a couple of villages around a lake but there is no road connected all the villages together. Remove the right now from hovering over my screen, it’s so annoying
Remove the right now widget from the main screen position, people including myself, accidentally press it then get bombarded by unwanted attention, it’s actually convincing me as well as some of my friends to leave Grindr if anything
