Pop up ads and sales solicitators
Need to get rid of the teasers with no intentions of hooking up with anybody and people trying to get you to send them money to hook up with them which is prostitution

All the fake / scam profiles
Take all of your algorithms and AI and instead of stalking and targeting those of us trying to use the app as intended....how about you actively focus on eliminating the BS, the FO requests, the solicitations and links to other sites...instead of just saying you are trying. YOU ARE NOT MAKING ANY EFFORT....it is worse than ever! And while you are at it...YES, advertising may be necessary...but the sneaky ads that are impossible to close are engineered that way....there is no accident here. Can’t filter by exact age, the filter defaults to five years.
I pay for XTRA, I was previously able to filter by exact age, now the filter spans a range of five years and will not allow me to filter by exact age. What am I paying for if you keep charging more for less features?

Filter profiles to show only profiles with “Taken by Grindr” face photos
Please add a filter option that allows users to show only profiles that have face photos with the “Taken by Grindr” watermark. This would make it easier to avoid potential catfish accounts, improve trust, and help users quickly find profiles with verified in-app photos.

Mandatory profile verification to prevent fake accounts.
I understand that users want secrecy and discretion, which leads them to not have a photo of their face on their profile, but in the account creation process verification should be mandatory to avoid fake accounts.

As a paying subscriber I want nons subscribers to be able to see chats and albums from people who subscribe similar to how Scruff does it.
It’s ridiculous that I’m paying for a service and the people Message on the other end can’t see chat history or albums that are unlocked

Email verification should be required!!!
Grindr is like one of the few platforms that do not require email verification to be a registered user.
This is definitely what attributes people to remain completely anonymous and act like fraudent criminals. It has allowed the level of spam and in my personal experience it has helped drive a campaign of mass community harassment and stalking fed by rumors. It should also be required for your phone number to get associated with your account. And no VoIP numbers. Legitimate numbers.

Allow for in-app purchases without Apple App Store
I occasionally pay for Xtra. Unfortunately, as someone on an iCloud family plan- I quickly learned that my “plan organizer” gets emailed receipts from all members (regardless of me paying with Apple gift cards). This means my mom has been getting my Grindr receipts, which is a huge privacy concern.
As such, I’ve had to leave my family plan and request to rejoin any time I want to pay for a boost or membership. However, even that doesn’t feel secure since the receipt doesn’t seem to be sent out until the membership ends, which means I sometimes have to leave…

Only fully completed profiles should be allow to chat with other completed profiles
Only allow completed users profiles (basic demographic data and a real picture, we can identify fakes with AI in no time so there's no excuse for profiles pictures getting approved with landscapes) profiles that are not completed can not communicate with profiles that have the data on their profile. Its very annoying to being increpated with a blank profile asking several questions about myself when I don't even know what kind of potential creep is looking at my profile.
