1. PLEASE BRING BACK search messages bar and the new pictures featured on top 😩

   PLEASE specially the search bar one! It helps to keep it organized and to fina specific person you have talked with before. And I miss the temporary feature of profiles with new recently uploaded pictures on top! It would encourage users to keep updating their profiles with recent and more accurate pictures.

4. No icons across the bottom after update

6. recently deleted chat

   there is no warning or confirmation when deleting a chat with someone. its just completely wiped away for the person who deleted it. why not make a new area within the chat menu that shows recently deleted chats and allows you to restore them or permanently delete them and block the user if needed. at the very least, make a confirmation button. if you swipe to far or fat finger the swipe on the wrong account or hit the delete button instead of the mute, its done for and you can't find them again unless you pay for xtra and scroll forever to find the account again if they even have an account thats easy to notice since most accounts don't even have a name or picture

   Hey guys,

   As a long-time user of Grindr, I would like to submit some ideas and suggestions that I believe could help make the app even more efficient, user-friendly, secure, and inclusive.
   1. Categorization by Usage Intent and Sexual Interests (Appearing in Chat):
   I propose introducing a feature that allows users to clearly define their current usage intent and sexual interests. However, this should not be visible in the profile from the beginning, but only appear in the chat when both users indicate that they would like to meet. This could be done in the form of categories, such as:
   * "Today I want to let go and have hot sex":
   * With specification of specific fetishes and inclinations (e.g., Dom/Top, Sub/Bottom, Lingerie, Jeans, Roleplay, etc.)
   * Additional filter options for specific sexual practices and preferences (e.g., Oral sex, Anal sex, BDSM, etc.)
   * Example: Two users chat about their shared fetishes (e.g., leather, uniforms). After a while, both indicate their interest in meeting. The option to specify specific sexual interests now appears in the chat. If a user specifies "Dom/Top", profiles of users who have specified "Sub/Bottom" or "Slave" as their preference are automatically displayed to them. The app then suggests locations where such meetings could take place (e.g., darkrooms, fetish parties) or offers the option to organize a private meeting.
   * "I am looking for a serious relationship":
   * With specification of relationship preferences (e.g., romantic, long-term, monogamous, etc.)
   * Additional filter options for shared interests and values (e.g., travel, sports, culture, etc.)
   * Example: Two users chat about their shared interests (e.g., travel, art). After a few days of intensive exchange, they decide on a first date. The option to specify relationship preferences and shared interests now appears in the chat. The app then suggests romantic restaurants or cultural events that match their interests.
   * "I want to take it easy and meet new people":
   * With specification of interests for shared activities (e.g., cinema, bars, clubs, sports, etc.)
   * Additional filter options for specific events and locations (e.g., gay bars, LGBTQ+ film festivals, etc.)
   * Example: Two users chat about their preferences for certain bars or clubs. The option to suggest shared interests and activities now appears in the chat. The app then suggests popular gay bars or clubs nearby and offers the option to meet there.
   Important: Users should have the option to adjust their categorization at any time, based on their current needs and interactions with other users. A contact that started in the "casual meetups" category can certainly develop into a sexual encounter or a serious relationship.
   2. AI-Powered Matching Improvement:
   I am convinced that the use of artificial intelligence (AI) could help to significantly improve the compatibility of matches. AI could analyze profiles and chats to identify commonalities, interests, and sexual preferences. Based on this, personalized suggestions for contacts could be made that meet the individual needs and intentions of users.
   * Example: A user specifies "BDSM" as an interest in their profile. The AI then analyzes the profiles of other users and suggests people who are also interested in BDSM and have similar preferences (e.g., Dom/Top, Sub/Bottom).

9. STD tracking and notify your sexual partners

   Got a little idea buzzing in my (freshly tested) head. How about a feature to quietly notify past hookups if we test positive for an STD? Like a "Hey buddy, time to get checked!" kind of thing—helpful, not panic-inducing.

   Maybe we could mark profiles after meeting them (for "fun tracking" and public health, of course). Then, if we test positive, Grindr could send a discreet nudge: "Someone you've met in the last X months tested positive for XXX. Might be a good time to get checked!"

   It’d be a great way to keep things safe and make Grindr even more essential in our lives. Anyway, just a thought from your friendly chlamydia survivor.

20. Rid of force interupting ads!

    I understand that this is a free version of the app so of course we will have ads but isn't that what the banner ads are for is to pay for them for it to be free that used to be like that before to me it seems like please go back to the banner ads being the only ads that are forced upon us without interrupting us as we use that I've used up way less often and ventured into other ones even though I didn't want to preferably because of this😮‍💨🙏
