So many get bent out of shape by taps. You can disable their notifications in settings, and many just don’t check it. I think it’s a nice way to break the ice - it allows the receiver to know someone noticed them. I’m a very limited tapper, but sometimes it’s a nice way to say “hey, ur cute, just letting you know”. Or “just making sure you saw me too”.
Sometimes I’ll tap a few people due to limited screen time, or because their stats isn’t online - so why bother sending a message. But it would by nice to see who I have tapped in case I want to follow up later.
Also I dated a guy who tapped me once. Not sure why I didn’t respond, but two months later when he had a different phone I struck up a conversation with him. Later found his tap in the list from two months prior.
So many nasty comments about regulating other people’s behavior here, but you never know what the future holds. Photos aren’t always great vehicles to create attraction.
So let me track who I tap. If they don’t like it, they can block me. But maybe in the right moment days or months later I could be snuggled up watching a movie with that fella, if only I could follow up later on.
Be kind fellas, it’s not easy out there. If it were, you wouldn’t be here complaining about grindr features.

Online 200 miles away in message list. Offline 4500 feet away in favorites list. 1 mile away and online on the grid. Can there either be a universal refresh for the entire app, or can you pull the data from the same source across screens.
