The block feature is meant exactly for that: to block people you don't want to keep chatting with. No one should be forced to send you his pics. If they don't like you they can block you without sending their pics. Also what would be the point to send the pics to someone you don't like anyway? May give the impression of the opposite. If you can't handle rejection on an app I suggest not to use the app.

If you're using iPhone I suggest to report Grindr to Apple and ask the removal of the app from the App Store. Me and some friends have done it. I hope there's a way of doing it from Android as well. Also you should report the profiles to Grindr itself. Unfortunately no one gives a heck. My big lack of functionality is that they removed ethnic filters and you can't filter out non biological males - I'm gay so I'm only looking for men yet my grid is invaded by cross dressers and trans.
