    Grindr clearly panders the Marxist BLM movement and the offshoot of activists who blackmailed them to remove the ethnic filter to make and ideological statement. I cancelled my paid subscription at that time. Grindr clamorously fails me as a dating application as nowadays my grid is totally useless as it's composed of:

    1. People I can't filter in/out with the ethnicity filter
    2. Trans, Cross dressers, Straight men looking for them, MF couples
    3. Users paying for the "Boost" session showing up as close as 300 meters while they're 7km away or more

    Paying a uber expensive subscription for the privilege of spending the time of my life scrolling over and over and checking thousands of tiles that I would have easily removed with a tap is not an option.

    A failed pointless messy product.

    What's the point using Grindr?!

    I'm basically not meeting anyone anymore and with the introduction of the Boost feature I'm considering deleting the app completely.

    Everybody should have access to the ethnicity filter, not only asians or anyone who who is not white because that would be a discrimination based on race and it's no one business who everybody likes, that's undebatable and inscrutable fact of life and Grindr's hard left attempt at social engineering is a con and will never ever succeed in coercing people to go against their desires. The idea that some bad guys used the ethnicity filter "with a racist purpose therefore we need to revoke it to everybody else" that I kept hearing as justification for the removal is pure fantasy and just toxic politics that has divided the gay community further. I already cancelled my paid subscription after the removal of the ethnic filter (and now with the conning "Boost" feature I may delete the application completely but that's topic for another feature removal request).

    My grid is already useless since you removed the ethnic filter because I can't filter for the people I'm looking to hook up or have a romance with, that's when I cancelled my paid subscription. Before the removal it was difficult to find a match and now it's impossible. So now I waste my time blocking them in order to see who I could match with. Then we've gone from impossible to surreal with the invasion of transwomen, transmen, cross dressers, femmes, straight men, straight couples so I waste my time to block them as well. The straw that broke the camel's back is the Boost feature, I already have non-matching ethnicities and genders cluttering my grid, and the new feature started filling any tile left with people who live 7km+ away from me MAKING ME BELIEVE that they're 200 meters away or less because Grindr guidelines recommend those users to HIDE their distance to achieve total cunning behaviour. Obviously I will never met them and I started spending time deleting them as well until I realised that it's too much work for no return so I am currently trying to migrating as many contacts I can to Telegram then I will delete Grindr as I deleted Scruff and I will never ever consider installing the app again not even free. Congratulations!

    Not only Grindr doesn't give a heck, in the documentation they also recommend the users paying for the Boost to hide their distance to achieve a total cunning behaviour. Now I'm blocking them as well amongst all the other ones I can't get rid of because the ethnic filter has been removed, there's no filter for biological sex and can't effectively filter out the trans tribe. This is probably the last straw that broke the camel's back.

    I'm not a business, I'm a human being and I have sexual preferences and you are being ignorant in defining me as racist if I have ethnic preferences for my hook ups and romance as much as people of colour may have(*). Even though some people would sleep literally with anyone, for someone else finding a sexual match is the quintessential discrimination and it's fair to be like this, this is not debatable or something to put your nose in. The removal of the ethnic filter just caused thousands of users to cancel their membership and render the grid totally useless because living in a big city I'm surrounded by some ethnicities I will never go on a date with, along with trans women, transmen, straight people and MF couples. Before it was difficult to find a match, now it's impossible, Grindr, the epitome of a FAILED PRODUCT.

    (*) Interestingly activists and academic are trying to change the definition of "racism" in order to allow non-white people to be racist without being considered so, amazing isn't it?

    Horrible, SWANA doesn't mean anything to anyone. This seems a woke issue. If we start pandering the marxist and hard left activists it will never end, colonialism didn't start with nowadays West. The Ottoman Empire colonised the Middle East before for instance. Middle Eastern is a PERFECT word to design people from what is called the Middle East in many languages.

    No Grindr is not supposed to bring people together, Grindr is supposed to bring matches together which is completely different. My grid nowadays is useless, not only there's a ton of guys I can't filter-out anymore with the ethnicity filter, I can't even filter-in the guys I AM LOOKING FOR with the filter but there's also cunning users wanting to show up nearby on my grid with the feature "Boost" who are actually kilometres away from me. And lots of trans, cross dressers, straight people. That removing the ethnicity filter to us because someone is racist regardless should bring something good to society is a pure fantasy, it actually divided the community even further. After all the BLM fuss and relative ethnic filter removal I avoid contacting black guys because the idea that they may they may think I'm a "fetishist" makes me sick. Grindr currently is a failed product and I haven't subscribed again since I cancelled my paid subscription after the filter removal.
