Grindr was built by and FOR patently men who have sex with men. This invasion, similar to our gay bars, disrupts the vibe, is awkward for us, and reduces the chance of us finding eachother. I'm all for trans people existing and their admirers too but you this is not a big melting pot and never should have been. Grindr is a GAY MALE APP WRITTEN AND BUILT BY GAY MEN FOR GAY MEN. It is not for straights, not for trans, not for inclusivity, not for intersectionalism, not for academia, it's for gay sex and if it continues not to be - gay men will write a better app for themselves exclusively with as many filters as disrupts pearl clenchers as humanly possible.

This is not discriminating at all. If I'm a gay male and am into gay men, why do I want a platform that was originally designed and built specifically for me to be filled with people that I have no sexual attraction towards. It hinders MY OWN sexual exploration and expression/needs. Yet again women, straights, and others are and have invaded our own cherished place - happened to the gay bars and made shit awkward and uncomfortable for us, now here too. When will it end.
I think you'd find that most of us are staunch allies for the existence and expression of Trans people even bi people or questioning people. They're just not in our dating pool and definitely gumming-up the works. If it doesn't have a penis and isn't born as a male and staying one it's not a gay man and is IN OUR WAY on the warpath.
So, really, skip the pearl clutching, give us back our own spaces.
