Same notifications OVER AND OVER
In 2019 this app started getting really good for the first time ever. In the past 6-8 months it feels like no one is beta or even alpha testing anything. Take notifications. I’m getting notifications for the same messages over and over and over. I’ve been notified of the same single message, “hey,” 13 times in the last 10 minutes. For the last few weeks I’ve been getting notifications late or duplicated or duplicated etc. but not usually this quickly. It’s really getting to the point that it feels unusable. Messaging
Seriously need to stop pushing all these new features and fix what’s broken. I’m tired of getting the same message notifications over and over again any time I open the app. It’s ridiculous. And here yall expect people to pay for this crap?

DO THIS… FIX EVERYTHING
Make this a free service. Generate greater revenue by charging any government or law enforcement agency an appropriate fee for each and every record they request. They will gladly pay, this is a common expense for any entity executing that sort of operation. And they will pay even if it seems exorbitant. If you still want to include ads, make them only show when the app is first opened or in very small and unobtrusive ways.

After blocking, the chat window should be maintained
When someone behaves abusively in a conversation and then blocks the victim, the chat and profile disappear and there is no way to report it. In this context, the structure of the Grindr application itself favors abusive behavior by not maintaining the chat window after blocking. I would like to suggest that even after blocking, the chat window should be maintained for both parties as a way for the victim to eventually report that they had a toxic conversation and then blocked it to escape.

stop forcing boost down our throats with pop up’s and pinned messages
Boost is a useless feature as it is especially for the cost and having random prompts pop up trying to get people to buy it and making it a pinned message without independent of the user choosing to pin it himself is obnoxious and is having the opposite effect you think it is. I know me personally will never purchase boost now because im tires of having an obvious cash.grab bombarding me to tempt me into getting it like it’s an ad for a bad mobile game and even with gribdr unlimited there’s nothing I can do to stop it

Take Action on Reported Profiles
Your CG says hate is unacceptable yet when antisemitic profiles are reported, nothing happens. Is some hate more acceptable than others? Shouldn't that be public information in your guidelines? Shouldn't we know exactly which hate you will allow? I should think that your paying customers would like to know who you think should be exterminated.

Face verification like Tinder
Make an AI that verificates face photos with your face to have verificated profiles, just like Tinder does. It would make the app safer.

Premium/ Extras/ Unlimited features should be only features
The three features should be exclusive privileges for paying customers who can enjoy benefits such as no ads, access to read and send messages, view online and last online status of other users. Additionally, they should be able to send and store unlimited pictures. Other advanced features may include video and voice calls.

Needs ethnicity filter as originally designed
As of December 1 I stopped paying for Grindr. I noticed all these ads popping up and the app is decidedly worse without paying for it. However, I wont give them another cent and ignoring things that we want and things that help us as the app was originally designed to do. Believe it or not it was better when it first came out. I don’t see any improvements worth paying for especially removing the ethnicity filter, which is my single most important reason for deleting my subscription.

When I "pay" to stream a movie for "free" by watching advertising breaks I am allowed to see the entire movie, so why am I "paying" for Grindr by watching advertising without having full access to all features?
