5. Get rid of the ‘for you’ feature

   This feature is a literal cockblock paywall feature. It shallow attempt to get people to subscribe to the premium version of the app by heavily restricting the people that are in your radius and nearby. It is disappointing and condescending that they think we still believe they care for this community. But of course Grindr has just become another crummy and bordering scammy app that continually makes the experience worse and worse as the years go one

   You cost for subscipions is insane. I and many other people are going to leave your app completely due to this. Have a small fee a lot of users will pay instead of a huge fee no one will pay.    How dare yall make a “limit” while also not allowing one to resend videos already made. What the fuck is that shit. Here’s the idea, stop trying to hijack your clients in an attempt to strong arm them into paying you money. Maybe don’t make the advertising exit button so fucking small it’s stupid difficult to hit. Sure you might get some fools and we know what fools do with money, sure. But a lot of your clients (myself included will 2000% take that as the reason to never give you money.    It would make such a huge difference to poz guys if you could let us find other poz guys. This won’t get many upvotes because it doesn’t affect most users but for those of us who are poz it would be a huge improvement to our lives to be able to find other poz guys, so please please implement this 🙏. Perhaps the filter can only be visible to guys who have their hiv status as poz on their profile if you’re worried about prejudiced people abusing the filter.     this app sucks now. for one to even make a suggestion i need to login to a facebook or gmail account? ads pop up every 1.5 seconds, viewing profiles are limited to 1-5 profiles around a 1 BLOCK radius. but having to accept cookies and giving you my gmail account AND MY F'N password to make a damn suggestion is ridiculous. its all about making revenue by sending/selling crap to ur email

Not only am I seeing people that are 20+ miles away but when I go to view my taps (Which have been available to view and click on for years) now cost money? There’s no way to block people, just “hide” them but later when you go back on they’re just magically there? The free version of the app is a joke now with all the pop up ads and the fake profiles getting pics from google or other people giving you only a couple people to talk to (again that aren’t even in your area). This app has several security and bugged out issues that should have been resolved along time ago, but it seems that they can’t give back to the community that has funded them for years.

    Ser parte do cadastro para poder usar o APP, fazer o upload, pelo menos de uma foto de rosto. Agora, e está crescendo demais, a quantidade de gente sem FOTO, nem BIO, que chegam pedindo isso do outro para avaliarem e só então assumir sua posição no mundo. Depois eles, que estão escondidos no anonimato, se mostram e quem que a cara é quem se mostrou desde o começo. Isso é injusto demais. Vocês controlam tanto as coisa mínimas e isso...não.

    I pay Xtra. To NOT have ads. Yet, I get the "Who's the asshole" ad on my messages tab every time I open the app (and every time I open the app I deleted): I don't wanna point out who is the asshole, but is very clear to me.

16. Pricing gouging: cost of Unlimited and Xtra have me bamboozled

    I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concerns and disappointment regarding the current pricing structure for Grindr’s Unlimited and Extra subscriptions.

    After taking a one-year hiatus from the app, I recently decided to re-download Grindr. However, upon doing so, I noticed immediately that the app had become increasingly difficult to navigate without purchasing a premium subscription. The overwhelming pop-ups and advertisements not only disrupted the user experience but also caused my phone to crash at one point.

    Despite these challenges, I decided to re-subscribe to your premium plans, but I was absolutely shocked by the current pricing structure. To say that it feels like price gouging would be a severe understatement. While I understand that the cost of services is increasing across industries, the prices you are charging are not justifiable. In fact, they reflect a critical misstep in Grindr’s approach to research and development, alienating both long-time, loyal users like myself as well as everyday folk, most of which having all good intentions. Instead, this pricing targets catfish accounts and spam advertising.

    As a long-standing subscriber to Grindr’s Unlimited and Extra plans since their inception, I am deeply disappointed. Out of principle, I cannot support such unethical pricing practices, which directly contribute to the ongoing cycle of inflation. By continuing to raise your prices to unjustifiable levels, you are perpetuating the very problem of never-ending inflation. At some point, the cycle has to stop, and it starts with companies like yours taking a more responsible approach.

    I strongly urge Grindr to review its pricing structure and offer subscriptions at a more reasonable and fair rate. This would not only demonstrate a commitment to user satisfaction but also rebuild trust with users who feel increasingly alienated due to the sky, high prices and record number of catfish accounts.

    I hope you will take this feedback into serious consideration, as Grindr’s current approach risks alienating a significant portion of its user base.
