Notifications are always delayed on Android.
I'm using Grindr on Android. For as long as I can remember, notifications are delayed by 5 minutes or more unless app is in the foreground with the screen on. It has become even more obvious now that I also have Grindr installed on my iPad. I will receive a Grindr notification on my iPad when the message is received, but no notification on my phone. If I then turn my Android screen on, I suddenly receive the notification, but if I don't turn my screen on, the notification is delayed by 5 minutes or more. Message notifications from other…

Grid shows people over 100 miles from my location but shows them close. I’ve done everything to fix it

Bring back the auto-refresh!
I have seen alot of people here wanting to get rid of it, or maybe it's been "Completed" already, but as a minority, please bring it back!
It was the intended behavior of the app that I used to know. Now it feels broken.The thumbnails/Nearby profiles do not refresh whenever I do it manually (swipe down gesture) many times! I have to open another Maps/Google Maps app and re-center my location there, then go back to Grindr in order for the refresh of the profiles to take effect. This is time-consuming and inconvenient!

Map and browse availability
I wish we could browse and use the map in my country! It was turned off for countries with no rights for us for safety but I don't see how those two related? I live far from the city & no profile near me which makes the app unusable and not enjoyable:( really wish it would come back instead of needing to travel to check profiles. Thanks,

Previous chats disappearing
I talk to people for a period of time then when i come back to them the previous conversations have disappeared and don’t appear, i can still see pictures they have sent if i go onto the options menu but chats are nowhere to be found. It’s inconvenient having to repeat conversations because you can’t remember what’s already been said

Block the spam
Most of the time the only chats that seem to work are the ones that come from spam accounts. Now that Grindr is storing a copy of the chats, it should be possible to see which accounts are sending the most chats and look into them. Then again, the chats have always gone through grindrs servers and it should be possible to at the very least see which users are constantly online sending messages through the system or sending them at an abnormal rate. Abuse of fake profiles with block and unblock
I want to report abuse scenario in application:
Some fake profile can chat and ask for private photos, than block me, than when he unblocks - the history is gone. That means he can change his photos and impose himself as totally different person and start the conversation again.
I think the proper behavior is to preserve chat history even after blocking/unblocking. So the other person will identify this profile and recall their chat. This would significantly reduce abuse from fake profiles.1 vote -

Unavailable in Ceuta and Melilla
Grindr shows as unavailable because of law in the Spanish cities of Ceuta and Melilla, however there are anti gay laws only in Morocco but not on those Spanish enclaves. Please fix it, thanks.
