At bare minimum, give us the option to filter words that are offensive and triggering.

Option to not be seen by certain ages
I would like the option to be invisible from certain age groups. This would reduce the risk of being contacted by underage guys. This will help to protect people.

It is very annoying that people keep phishing for your identity.
They pretend to be nice and then once you tell certain things they are phishing for they block you.
This makes grindr extremely dangerous.
They can screenshot your answers and then prevent you from controlling the chat.
How can you ask this much money for an app that has this much of a security risk?
And people are blocking just for fun it seems.

Actual verification for every person making a profile
Anyone making a profile should be required to prove they are the person in the photos! The amount of fake profiles and catfishing is RIDICULOUS!! They should have to prove to Grindr they are real and then in turn Grindr should have a badge on their profile to confirm they are NOT a catfish!! Very simple to implement bc you guys do it for Motto why not here??

when you Ban people for no reason, at least send them a reason.
when you decide to to just randomly bad someone have the courtesy to email them and tell them why. such a shameful app.

Spam notifications
There are small things that help to tell if someone could be fake such as the "new user" label and the "sent from country" label (that is really inconsistent and doesn't stay their longer than one message, so if they send more than one before you open it it doesn't display?) We need more permanent popups to show at least the general area such as country of origin at all times, so many fake accounts don't get labelled correctly as foreign spam.
What's more it would be helpful if there was a comment section when you report spam, most accounts…

Allowing LGBTQ Non-Profits to have Profiles
There is an amazing LGBTQ non-profit in my area which offers free, reliable STI testing and AIDS resources. They have had a Grindr profile on and off over the last year where they posted their phone number and logo. You could also chat with them to schedule appts and find resources. I scheduled my first appt with them through Grindr and had a great experience. However, they told me today while I was getting tested that their profile keeps getting removed because it violates some policy. Give an explanation for banning accounts
In today's environment where people report people who did nothing wrong explanation of why accounts were banned is absolutely necessary to prevent the integrity of the application from being questioned
As it stands so far I've heard people were banned for not renewing the paid portion. Of for having viewpoints different than grindrs. One member claims he was banned because he was eating at Chick-fil-A when he opened his application.6 votes -

showing distance and changing location and able to change accounts to harass people
Harassment from blank profiles , being I think who ever signs up with the site has show proof ID with address on it a profile should be consider a passport,so harassment can be minamised. Also should not have to be a paid member for have screenshots of people pictures all sites should just have that in facebook nobody should be able to do screenshots of pictures period.
