6. Allow the app to reset the fine-tuning search results upon exit and reentry

   If you forget that you had previously checked the box in the fine-tuning search criteria and then you go back into the app later on it keeps those same filters alive and then you start to wonder after a while why the grid looks different and why nobody in your area is on there. That happened to me a few times and I realized it I had left the filter turned on and I just at that moment been looking for a friend of mine that was in the area and I had put in the age bracket to narrow it down. Then when I came back in later on I was seeing all these results for just that age bracket and I couldn't figure out what the heck was going..lol. but we can eliminate that problem if the app would reset the fine tuning filters when you exited and then came back on. Of course that might be a pain in the ass to somebody else who wants them to always be on so maybe my point is moot. Anyway, thanks for the opportunity to voice input, that really works well I think and is beneficial to the whole system running smoothly. I will say that had it not been for me finally upgrading to the first level of the paying membership I was literally ready to rip my hair out about all the ads they are so terrible and so invasive and so annoying, sorry to sound so harsh. They're like the equivalent of the guy downtown that jumps out in front of you with the long trench coat on and when he opens it up it's lined with watches and jewelry for sale and he tries endlessly to get you to buy something and won't take no for an answer, you know what I mean? It's like that happening only it's happening like every 50 ft of walking basically that's equivalent annoyance I keep thinking of. I think the best way to get members to upgrade to the paying membership is to show them the true benefits of being a paying member and all the perks that come along with it as opposed to you kind of railroading them into signing up for it because they get so annoyed with ads. There's a great difference between those two methods one of them is far more humble than the other and goes a long way in creating good energy amongst everybody. By doing at the current way, yes you may be able to get some people to sign up just out of pure frustration but what you're left with at the end of the day is unpaid members that are jaded and resentful of the service because of the ads, and paid members that also harbor their own resentments because they had to pay to get rid of the ads in the first place. If you can create an app like this that is not only beneficial to helping people meet people, but also accomplish that goal without having those same people talking trash about the app when they're not on it, that would be a miracle. Because what you're left with is people going on an app that they're only going on because it's the only one available not because they love it and that sucks for you because you should be able to cash in on all these things together without having frenemies so to speak as users of the service

7. Bator and JO are two different activities and Grindr should NOT be conflating them. It causes great confusion and makes no sense.

   Bator and JO are not the same thing. Why are you excluding an entire group of people (discrimination) by removing an accurate description and replacing it with something completely different. Is Grindr trying to suppress a certain group? Why the hate and discrimination?

   New category called Wide: just a bit opposite of side, someone who doesn’t enjoy giving oral and is interested only in the real deal, which is fucking using condom/on prep.     Consider opening the app to not only be a dating app got guys but maybe for the first time expand the app to focus on allowing girls to meet guys on the app. This platform should have adequate settings toggles to allow girls to sign up and use the app. Internally Grindr could consider advertising to girls to sign up as well promoting the app as a dating app option to them where They can find guys and girls on there since the app is geared towards the gay community which can have many genders involved.

    I read similar posts, some even saying make a separate app which is already well known but I suggest keeping it as one app but let users decide via settings what gender can see them listed in the app. Can me man looking for trans etc and or they select manually what they want to see and therefore who can see them.

    Any titles to the apps in the App Store to Grindr like "gay dating app" could be changed if need be to target it to everyone and not just the gay community but maybe gay and lesbian community or LGBT community, a likely commonly used app search term for dating apps.

11. Remove “Ethnicity”

    As the filters for “ethnicity” have been removed, what is the significance of persons race? I’m confident the majority of users who don’t fill it are BIPOC and mostly men with melanin. The ones who always populate it are white men. They’re the majority who benefit from viewing it, even though they can see our skin colour in our profile pic. That’s more than enough for them to discriminate based on their “preferences”. If it’s optional now, why bother including it at all. What’s the added advantage? Age, height, body, etc. i understand. Race…for what?

    Add a tab that caters to the community where users much like fet life can host events and publish them on there. Like here in California there are a ton of events! Especially in LA and SF. We also have the Power Exchange here in SF that caters to people and the Citadel that caters to the BDSM community. steam works in Berkeley every night has a theme night that caters to gay men and on genderF%#k night it caters to trans individuals. There are so many events that the community’s and businesses that this would really benefit from. Like people couple publish about local orgies or swinger parties that cater to all genders and types of people. Much like other hookup/sexual based dating sites do. This is a good opportunity to include people to potentially meeting more people through user based events located in the app that the user base creates and other business’s that want to toss an event out there that caters to theses specific groups of people.

    Please add a section under Stats that says Expectations:
    Prefers
    then people can put a checklist: cis women, butch women, nonbinary persons, nonbinary femmes, nonbinary mascs, gender fluid persons, trans mascs, trans femmes, trans woman, trans man, etc.
    That way we’re only available to people of those genders who want us and we only see people of those genders that we mutually want.

    That way lesbians or other queer AFAB or trans women can look for each other, etc.

    Lesbians do not have any app to date that is like Grindr and we need it because we are less likely to encounter each other in real life.
    We’re also less likely to be able to find casual dates, fwb, hookups on other apps such as tinder, bumble, HER.

    This is the best platform for faster connections. Please consider those of us who are not men or trans women.
