Introduce a “Mood Matches” toggle that allows users to share what they’re looking for in the moment—such as Flirty, Chill, Adventurous, or Deep Talk. Profiles would be sortable by mood, helping people connect more authentically.
Why It Works:
Cuts down on mismatched expectations.
Encourages more genuine conversations and connections.
Adds a fun, lightweight feature without overcomplicating the app.
Implementation:
Simple icons (💋 Flirty, ☕ Chill, 🌍 Adventurous, 💭 Deep Talk).
Users can change moods anytime, visible at the top of their profile.
Could evolve into “Mood Filters” in search.

Filter by gender
I am non-binary. I am not attracted to women. I am attracted to men. It would be great if the app would allow me to filter by gender, just as it does age, pictures, tribes, etc. please. No offense to the dolls, love them, but I am not attracted to them and don’t need to see them on my feed!!!

Make the feed only show members 25 Miles away or less for free and put a filter for last hiv test time frame
The feed is showing Members 60-116 miles away and that's ridiculous fix it so it shows members 25 miles away or less only
Also to help Members stay Negative a filter by last hiv test date would be great as well as a host or travel filter as well also either make another grindr app for ts cds and fems and make Members have to pay to find them and make grindr gay again also less Ads to slow our phones would help too2 votes -
Filter for ethnicity
Dear Grindr, we know you have a lot to offer us, but I ask for one thing that will help many! I really like people, but I have an ethnic preference, I like black guys and that makes me feel passionate; Could you add ethnicity to the filters? If the person is white, Asian, black, etc.

Grid too short
For community members living in endangered areas like mine in Iraq, are facing difficulties with how few profiles the grid shows. This has not been the issue always but with continuous updates that’s the problem I’ve come to see myself and friends used to. But this shouldn’t be the case since it hasn’t always been. Basically 30-40 profiles grid in such places is a call for me to use grindr as little as possible since it’s even harder to find people more of my type or even that have a real profile around such place. Select multiple accounts to block
My biggest pain point is that my it takes such a long time for me to block the people I don’t want to talk to that I can’t even talk to the People I want to talk to. Please install a select multiple accounts to block so I don’t have to waste my entire phone battery on blocking accounts individually

A feature let's us control how close we want profiles to be so thet the app presents profiles within the selected distance
There should be a feature that allows the user to select a specific distance e.g 1km/mile so that the user can be able to receive a grid of profiles within that selected distance. This should also apply to users who choose not to display their distance
