   Many people who sign up do not know what terms like “top,” “bottom,” or the different tribes mean. They may also not understand profile descriptors such as “toned” or “large.” Please provide clear explanations for these terms, especially during the registration process and when users are selecting options. It would also be helpful to require users to acknowledge that they have read this information before continuing.

   Hello,
   I previously had a Grindr account registered with my phone number. I believe someone else may have used my phone and sent messages without my permission. After that, I was unable to access my account, and it was banned.
   I was surprised that my account was permanently banned without any warning or notice. I would appreciate it if you could review my case and reconsider the ban.
   I believe users should receive warnings before a permanent ban is applied, especially when there may be a misunderstanding or unauthorized use of the account.

   Someone tried to blackmail me and they got me on Instagram and threatened to post my inappropriate photos, which were when I was a minor and send them to my friends and family which are ALSO minors I can’t find their account user or anything because grinder instantly removes the account so I am unable to hold any evidence

    Dear Grindr Team,

    I hope you are well.

    I am writing to respectfully suggest a reconsideration of the flag currently used to represent Iran on Grindr. At present, the platform displays the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which represents the current ruling regime. However, for many Iranians—particularly members of the LGBTQ+ community—this symbol is deeply associated with decades of persecution, violence, and repression.

    Over the past 47 years, the Islamic Republic has criminalized homosexuality, imposed severe punishments including the death penalty for same-sex relations, and fostered a climate of fear and discrimination against LGBTQ+ individuals. Many members of this community have faced imprisonment, torture, and execution simply for their identity.

    In recent years, especially during the latest wave of protests, thousands of civilians have reportedly been killed, and numerous accounts of torture and abuse have emerged. For many Iranians, the current flag is therefore not a neutral national symbol but a representation of a regime responsible for systematic human rights violations.

    Because Grindr is a platform that stands for the safety, dignity, and inclusion of LGBTQ+ people worldwide, it may be meaningful to consider replacing the current Islamic Republic flag with Iran’s historical lion-and-sun flag. For many Iranians in the diaspora and within the LGBTQ+ community, that flag represents the nation and its culture rather than the current regime.

    This suggestion is offered with respect and with the hope that Grindr can continue demonstrating solidarity with LGBTQ+ individuals from countries where they face severe persecution.

    Grindr has been taken over by bots, and legitimate users report having their accounts banned and unable to restore access. This is not customer service. My paid subscription to Grindr Xtra is inaccessible to me now because a bot didn’t like that I was using Grindr while traveling. But I know the fake trans-women, fake princes from Dubai, fake guys with studio quality pics of them and their dogs, fake sugar daddies, are still out there, bothering legitimate users. Come on Grindr - do better! I signed up for Daddy Hunt, was asked to send a selfie to match my profile pic. Easy verification. Done.     For an app based around erotic meet-ups, you sure do seem committed to killing the vibe. I keep getting an ad for a porn game featuring a girl of nebulous age. I barely tolerate your aggressive ads, but that is outright unacceptable. If I keep seeing that ad, I'll delete this app and never look back.

    Grindr is flooded with fake profiles. I see dozens per day. There's a plethora of fake trans profiles that try to lure you to Telegram. Many OF 'creators', but I suspect also fake profiles put there by grindr itself to give the impression there are more people online. Put in more safety guards to prevent bot profiles so I don't get approached repeatedly by fake accounts. I think almost everyone on this app has been approached by a fake 'Hamza from Dubai' or a trans person that wants to do everything if you just go to her Telegram. Also: I'm a gay man looking for a gay man. Why can't I filter this out? Tribes doesn't cut it. Make more fields in a profile mandatory.
