Add a reverse filter. So users can determine who they want to be seen by..? Especially: don't show me to users without a photo

My advice is: if you can’t beat them, join them! I recently set-up a profile as a gay male on the transgender dating siteTranslr a while ago. At first the moderators gave me a lot of hassle and wanted me off the site but they refused to say why out of concern for being seen as discriminatory against an LGBT person who just happens to identify as cis male (get over it man haters!). Anyway it’s a great way to get dick, it’s a very untapped market. More gay men should join it.

It’s interesting how you want to point out that trans are part of the LGBTQ+ community but you made no mention of lesbians. Did you forget the L that begins the LGBTQ+? If you truly want to be nondiscriminatory then you should be advocating for allowing straight people on Grindr too. Don’t act like you don’t discriminate when you do it’s just against different groups. There is a word for people like you, it’s hypocrite.

If you are an advocate for all the LGBTQ+, because you forgot the P and the NB and I’m sure there are others, why aren’t you arguing that lesbians should be on grindr. Lesbians would be the L in that string of letters. If you’re going to allow straight women, because trans women attracted to men are straight women. Why would grindr allow straight men, gay men, bi men and straight women but not lesbians?

You kind is hit the point of everyone needs to be respected. To that end grindr was created for gay men to meet other gay men, those who identify as women should respect that the majority of grindr users have no interest in a sexual relationship with women. So why would the be on grindr?

Requiring people to fill out EVERY blank of a profile OR NOT BE ABLE TO USE GRINDR, and make picking one or a certain number of items in certain categories would help filter out profiles one isn't interested in and help cut down on fake profiles, stalking, etc. It also might be helpful to have Tags for the what describes the user and another for what/who they are seeking would eliminate confusion on what Tags apply to whom (i.e. a Bear Leather Daddy describes the person and he seeks a Trans Femme Twink).
Because I believe NONE of us can truly be free, accepted, and respected until we ALL do the same for other groups/individuals and their rights, I am an advocate for ALL groups... regardleas of whether LGBTQIA, sexuality, sexual identity, race, age, gender, size, type, etc. HOWEVER, I too feel like I spend more time wading through profiles I DON'T have interest in than I do finding ones that am interested in. I do feel lately that Trans profiles dominate the profiles here in Grindr, and often these profiles don't have anything filled out in their profiles, so requiring the above would help eliminate this issue.

It’s unexplainable. It’s imcomprehensible. This insane lack of filters caused a lot of resentment for me.
I can’t understand why grindr or trans women don’t want to get trans women are the last thing many gay men want to see on an app based on hooking up.

My understanding is that trans people want to be viewed by how they identify and grindr is an app for gay guys so if you regardless of xx, xy, xxy, xyy, xxyy or whatever your chromosomes are I am not sure why you are on the app. It gets even more complicated when they identify as a man but refuse to have the bottom surgery as it is called. I though grindr was an app for those with penises who like others with penises no vagina included.

Basically if you are the cis guy who in to trans you should just filter search in to trans tribe . That's all. You don't show up on the other tribe . All the gays won't unintentionally thirst message to you . Problem solved 🤠 Transwoman you also just message to the guy who is in the trans tribe . Don't try to message to the gays just because they are hot!! I'm sure we all can happily coexist in this awesome app.

Cavanaugh Quick wow you really missed the point. Last time I checked a guy attracted to women and a woman attracted to guys are straight. If we are suppose to identify people not by their birth sex or chromosome but by how they identify then why are there women looking for guys who want to have sex with women and guys looking for women to have sex with on an app created for gay guys, guys who want to have sex with other guys? Grindr could take away the tags of female, grindr could let people report profiles for having postings like m/f couple looking no guy on guy action. I have received messages from a profile like that, I blocked them and then received another message from a profile that looked exactly the same the next day. I am assuming one profile was the wife, what is a straight married cis woman doing on app for gay guys?

TRANS-G, TS AND TV are all very different categories and shouldn't be bundled up as the same.
Generally I am not attracted to those groups but I have genuine friends from those different communities.
GRINDR is being Stereotypical Discriminatory by grouping together.

I come from a family with transgender relatives and friends who I love dearly but it is not my dating or sexual preference. It would be better if there was a website dedicated to people that are seeking trans. It would make searching the sites a lot easier for everyone and hopefully eliminate some of the hurt feelings.

7celo, I’m not a quitter I try to improve things and fix problems when I see them not just say f it and walk away. Plus grindr or apps like it are the only way to meet gay guys where I live. Although I have bumped into a couple trans individuals at the gas station
