Drug monitoring
The app is full of drug addicts, sellers and people that put at risk others with their substances.
I see so many people here in Mexico selling cristal or slam and a lot of users of it, using emojis to hide their substance usage.
I believes both a feature that monitors this emojis they use to talk about said substances is much needed, even it making a report to the police.
For other substances such as Alcohol, tabaco, marihuana and poppers there should be a block for people that do not want to match with others that do.

So drug users make a good punching bag for your frustrations? Take it out on an group that it's OK to punish? They're humans living a life with different circumstances than yours. Try some empathy and punch up not down.

i get the sense, that those of you who love your drugs, never shall see eye-to-eye with those of us who want nothing to do with drugs
i get the sense, you have no interest in attempting to see things from our point of view
or, put in another way: there must be a reason that *everyone* isn't using
i get the sense, those of you who love your drugs, probably wouldn't be so gung ho about it if we-all did
(unless, of course, nihilism is your nature
{it's not mine})
for the record:
though, not the worst in the world, my own childhood (and adulthood, for that matter) is far from "sweet" or "idyllic"i personally watched my housing project change for the worst, back when the cia decided they needed to bring my people down even further by introducing us to crack cocaine
by all measures, i should have been dead by now — perhaps, with a needle sticking out of my arm
yet, my own personal traumas have not killed me
nor have my traumas compelled me to seek out the embrace of "self-medication"what concerns me more, is how some of you are acting like you don't know fentanyl contamination is an on-going, and ever-increasing, threat
not even weed is safe from lacing

If it's obvious, just ignore it like a preference to body type. And if they harass you further then that's a problem that should probably be reported. Just my opinion. We need to stop censoring and policing everything that might hurt anybody's feelings because their parents refused to discipline them or teach them how to earn respect.

Posted like an ignorant person. You don't get to tell me what to do. If I seek a play partner with same intrest that should be none of your concern. Quit painting everyone with the same broad brush. If you are that daft and terrified of a meek ass meth user whom by the way are usually very pleasant people. Every one has an addiction, sex, money, drugs, food, violence, RX . Where do you draw the line. If you think I wanna live in some pastel , everyone same every thing lame lifestyle;which is what you suggest; is the most absurd an asinine suggestion ever recorded. You want vanilla go to church and find your lover. I came to fuck and have a good time. Don't tread on me!

How are they putting others at risk with their substances?!?!.... I assume you are talking about people who have indicators or say directly they do drugs in their profiles.... If so that should help anyone who is not interested in that to not interact with those profiles!!!
And I guarantee that you interact with people on a daily basis that are actively using drugs and you have no clue that they are.... Just sayin!!

I feel like a small $2 fee for all currently free users would help pay for the enhanced drug reporting and monitoring.

They should also create a script that trolls for any kind of drug language. If any kind of drug language or street language for drugs or drug use is detected is should either be barred from being sent or sent to a monitor for further review. They already bar drug language in their profiles. I tried to put please no drugs and mine got flagged because I used the word drug. They should enhance this feature to cover the chats as well....maybe make the feature work better.

speaking as a renowned essay writer!
i'mma keep this one short, roberto, by telling you 𝙣𝙖𝙝 — the same way you apparently don't want people telling you, or others, to stay away from drugs, you don't get to tell us, we can't spare a few hundred words

hmm.
which would i prefer?
being fucked up on meth and eventually losing my looks and my teeth (if i don't lose my life first)?
or, do i take more of a fancy to tapping away on my keyboard for several minutes, posting to uservoice my thoughts about the people who don't respect themselves, nor respect others?´not sure how many more times i gotta say this but, people's bad habits typically don't affect only themselves—
—people's bad habits have a knack for also fucking with 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬' lives, and livelihoods, as welli wish it weren't so
but, the numbers don't lie
a cursory look through kim gary's channel on youtube should suffice, towards bolstering my argument
(besides, i already gave my opinion that grindR, and other-such adult dating venues, should allow drug {ab}users to fully disclose what they are, and what they do — to allow us the opportunity to make an informed decision
{drug peddlers, instead of directly advertising through their profiles, can privately solicit those folks who had openly declared their habits})

Where does it stop? First we cancel drugs, then anal, than oral sex, then any sex.. If you don't want drugs block the profile and report it.
Please people don't write your essays here and make it short and direct.

Get rid of the gear tag, it only means one thing and it encourages drug users to advertise or look for drugs

Why is a female like you worried about the chat of gay men? Mind your business and don’t be such a mitotera.People do drugs, get over it. If you find out they do and it offends your tiny brain just block them. Can you imagine the wasted time of the police if Grindr reported suspected drug use from pendejas like you?
Rather than trying to ruin the lives of people you’ve decided are bad people, why not try to understand what brought them to use these drugs, if the drugs are truly a detriment to them and those around them, and if they’re living in poverty because of the drug, try to understand what took them to that low - was it the use of the drug or was it more truly the fact that they were cut off from feeling okay about themselves by presumidas like you who equate people who use drugs with bad/evil people.
The real evil in this world comes when people refuse to use the empathy (that so few creatures on this planet are gifted with) inside them to understand and grant grace and give support to those in peril, but would rather harden their hearts and further hurt someone who is very likely self-medicating because of some susto or trauma that has hurt them deeply already.

@wealthy drIp gaming,
i think i get the gist of what you're saying, but i fear i cannot go along with what appears to be your underlying sentiment, of "what i do in my private time is my own business"
i'm also taking note of the way you framed one of your positions — your highlighting of only the "successful" users, without any apparent acknowledgement of everyone else 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 / 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙, who aren't so lucky
it is my view, typically there are two inevitable outcomes for those who get themselves embroiled with controlled substances:
• you end up in jail, for a reason 𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛 than simple possession or, even, distribution
• you die, in some undignified manner: slowly; or through traumatic incident; or, by overdosethose who can "control" themselves seem to be in the minority
you're being disingenuous if you're going to assert that everything is only 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 & 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐰𝐬, with drugs(ask the citizens of mexico, brazil, afghanistan and colombia what they think about the matter)
speaking for myself, i'm not a nihilist—
—it is very much my belief, no man is an island unto himselfhttps://cdllife.com/2021/video-drunk-wrong-way-driver-causes-serious-destruction/
i, personally, haven't been directly affected by an impaired driver, and i was shaking and feeling distraught, watching the crash—
—imagining the trauma to amberly's soul: her being very much alive and conscious one second, with her then being unceremoniously-𝘴𝘯𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵 the next
i was going to mention a certain array of other folks (who are no longer with us), to further highlight my point regarding the fallacy of your pointing towards the minority of "successful" users, as the means of justifying a lax attitude towards substance abuse;
what i'll do instead, is i'll ask you to tell me of some professional, career-minded, successful, (hard) drug-using people 𝙮𝙤𝙪 personally know, in 2023 (july, the 9th), who are also well-adjusted—
—people you 𝚋𝚘𝚗𝚊 𝚏𝚒𝚍𝚎-are assured of, who are in no imminent danger of suffering a crisis, as elvis, or anne heche, or jarad higgins, or amy winehouse, or janis joplin had
?
can you?
people 𝙮𝙤𝙪 know—
—people you can supply first-hand testimony for, regarding their over-indulgence in meth, alcohol, fentanyl, coke, heroin... ...or perkies, codeine, xanax, ghb, 3mmc, or whatever other foolishness is out there=====
there is a counter-saying i am quite fond of, regarding certain folks' perceived liberty to conduct their "personal lives" ꜱᴀɴꜱ ᴀᴛᴛʀɪʙᴜᴇʀ ᴅ'ɪᴍᴘᴏʀᴛᴀɴᴄᴇ à — 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬
it has been demonstrated, with a fair amount of consistency, most people can't keep their habits to themselves
from the meth•head who breaks into cars, and allows multitudes of hiv-positive people to rawdog him, for days at a time,
to the drunkard who gets on the highway and eventually blindsides an innocent family,
to the coke fiend who goes to work and abuses everyone under them,
to the her'on hero who enjoys nothing more than walking out in the middle of traffic to perform their precarious balancing act,i see no reason for you to pretend all is well with them
=====
BUT.
with all that said: i would much rather, drug users are allowed to be open with the rest of us, on the apps—
—to allow us the chance to block them, at our discretionyep
"stigmatization"
but, i have the right, not to associate with people whose futures are precarious, and whose activities are dubious—
—do i not?and, be damnèd the ones who insist on being dishonest: even when they no longer have to worry about being banned, or about being reported to the police (for simple possession / use)
you surely must know, some (ab)users 𝚜𝚑𝚊𝚕𝚕 lie / obscure the truth anyway, in order to get what they want
that's human nature, i hear

Wealthy DRiP Gaming commented
I think reporting to the police is way over board and people would report people out of jealousy, mad cause of a hook up. We should all be honest and there are professional, career minded & successful people that should be able to partake in whatever they need or consider fun.
Next there would be a ban on a fetish that a person doesn’t agree with.
What should be implemented is a better algorithm that tracks the profiles you tend to block so it doesn’t show up on your page if you block profiles with said emojis or key words that way.
We shouldn’t be so concerned with what people do in their personal lives. It’s not what grindrs for. It’s a community where people should be free to be themselves without being banned or police called on them for a emoji or self title they chose for them and to attract those they want to have fun with. As long as they are not bullying, hateful, or racist, focus on the profiles you want or a simple block should suffice. -

@ private profile as I don't trust Grindr....
Do you even realize just how many people that you come in contact and interact with on a daily basis who have an addiction problem and are actively using.... And you don't even have a clue!!??!! I guarantee it's more then you know. Or how many people who have D&D free in their profile or who say they are both when asked and they are not staying or telling you the truth ?!?!
I would think that someone using an emoji or words resting to drugs and drug use would be very helpful to you honestly!! Because you would know for sure that you don't want or have to interact with them. It's the ones who don't state it directly or don't tell you the truth that you really need to watch out for !!
Lastly if you don't trust Grindr to not have a profile name and all the drug users and seller s are such an issue for you ...why don't you simply delete your profile and stop using grinder ?!?! Just move on!!.... You r free to just do that !!
