Well agreed and I am saying this as a POC. Everyone should be allowed to search and filter however they want to date across the ethnic spectrum or perhaps one wants to filter just for a few. It cuts down any confusion or folks not answering or people writing to someone who has not interest in them.

A very odd thing to have and then remove. It does not make any sense almost every other dating app has that option.

I am left of left but doing this is just a bit too much and seems they are taking features out than adding them in, yet their price point is not going any lower.

Having a racial preference is no different than having a preference for eye color, or hair color, or height, or preferring a slim vs thick body type. Grindr please add this filter back

I’m only interested in others of the same race and would like a filter to filter people I’m 100% not interested in. Black, white, Asian, Latino, etc. Something like that anyways so I don’t have block everyone I’m not interested in just to see more people that I might like.

Race and ethnicity are entirely different things. Race is genetic and based
on outward physical appearance. Ethnicity is cultural ,language, diet,religion, music shared ,by a population .Today most modern nation's/ethnicities are multiracial societies. I think both categories are important for individuals to accurately express/describe themselves as well as whom they are seeking whether they desire the assumed comfort/attraction of sameness or the unpredictabie excitement/allure that the variety of human differences afford.

I will not be renewing my subscription
Taking ethnicity filter out takes away my preference
So me paying to be extra does nothing for me that a non paying subscriber gets

Personal choice and freedom to associate with whom one pleases is a fundamental right. The ability to exercise personal preference should not be seen as racist. Personally I feel little physical attraction toward my own ethnicity and would prefer to focus on other groups. Please restore the filter.

This app shouldn’t pretend to be something it isn’t. People want a bear Latino daddy, let them find it. Seems wrong to take away peoples choice and control. Censorship is the one thing that’s always unattractive. As is totalitarianism.

I just cancelled paying for Grindr xtra and deleted my account. If everyone just deleted their profile that wants this filter back maybe Grindr will get the hint.

I just use Planetromeo now. They have the ethnicity filter...

and when you bring back the ethnicity filter I, like thousands of others will start to subscribe to Xtra again. There is no point subscribing without it.
