Allow nude and semi-nude profile photos. Is this a gay dating app or a restricted app?

It's not Grindr that put in place the "no nudes" policy. It's both Apple and Google that dictate those terms as they want to maintain a family friendly app environment on their respective app stores.

I agree that people should be able to upload whatever they want (that is legal) but we need to filter them. If I want to use Grindr when other people are nearby, I don't even want shirtless photos to show. Can we get filters for the type of pic it is? The categories could be G-rated, R-rated (shirtless or suggestive) and X-rated (underwear or nude).

I shouldnt have to look at u naked just because u like to show off. what's confusing to me is all the gay men voicing their support for this MeToo movement yet act just the the men acted or act towards these woman... Apps published in the App Store or Play Store can not contain nudity of any kind. That's why it is not allowed. The sites that allow profile nudity either do not have an app at all (like Squirt) or tags nude pics to not show at all in an app (A4A).

It's a nice idea, but Apple won't allow nude photos in profile pictures by default. If Grindr allowed it, they could potentially be dropped from the iTunes store.

Approve nude profile pics. We are all grown and fluent with our bodies, why not show them to the world without getting discarded.

Men love their nude photos. You should allow using or posting jockstrap pics, Speedos, etc.

I think this is a bad idea. Yes you may be looking for hookups but not everyone is, in fact, interested in seeing your **** right off the bat. I block people because they send **** pics. It’s honestly annoying how I get a **** pic instead of an actual message.
