If people could write a bit more in the "about me" section, it would help for people actually seeking a person and not just an experience.
In addition to the above, I love to know people's sign in advance. Is nearly as important as sexual preferences.
You should do away with faceless/blank profiles PERIOD!! Or at least, Make it so I don't Have to look at them.
Otherwise... Just change the name to Gloryhole.com.

STOP allowing people from 33 miles out of the area
Don't show people further away than 20 miles. The app has been bombarded by user's that are picture hunters or too far out of the area. Everyone I have talked to said they think seeing people show up on the top of the profile list from 33 miles away is horseshit. If you take another poll I'm most certain you'll hear worse than horseshit.

Okay so you know how people have their usernames on here and every once in a while you chat with someone long enough to get to know their real name now me myself and not very good at remembering those real names maybe make a feature to where anyone's profile that you favorite you can change that person's username to whatever you choose to make it such as John Doe or Jane Doe that would make it much easier to memorize their name

Compile all albums of one user together
It would be nice for multiple albums that are sent could be put in one folder on the albums page instead of being all over the list that currently is quite annoying

Abuse of fake profiles with block and unblock
I want to report abuse scenario in application:
Some fake profile can chat and ask for private photos, than block me, than when he unblocks - the history is gone. That means he can change his photos and impose himself as totally different person and start the conversation again.
I think the proper behavior is to preserve chat history even after blocking/unblocking. So the other person will identify this profile and recall their chat. This would significantly reduce abuse from fake profiles.1 vote -

sort the ads out there taken the piss now, i understand the need for them but its beyond a joke now whats going to be next an ad after every comment, profile and the fact for the weekly price is stupid it activity ruins the experience on being on this type of social media app

Put a voice chat features in grindr
It would be great if Grindr added a voice chat feature to make it easier for users to find the right match, just like other applications. With this feature, interactions would become more convenient and efficient. It would also enhance bonding and engagement among users. Having this option would make the app more interactive and enjoyable. Hopefully, this can be included in the next update for the Grindr app.

Too many ads
Ads are a huge problem. Banner ads and in message ads are fine, as they are minimally invasive. However, the pop up ads that have no way of skipping for no benefit is an absolute atrocity.
Xtra and Unlimited are unreasonably expensive for the features offered, so here's my suggestion:
Make all pop up ads skippable within 5 seconds. A countdown on screen that leads to an appropriately sized X to close the ad is ideal, but I understand this is often out of your control.
Add in a feature whereby you can boost your profile by watching a 1-5…1 vote
