2. Add “Boy Next Door” to Tribes selections

   When selecting a tribe, none of the current ones listed cover the my identified Tribe; which most of the LGBTQ+ dating apps already have as an option. This tribe is “Boy Next Door” which perfectly depicts me and I know many other within the app. You can find the description below.

   Grindr is complicit in promoting sexual racism, especially regarding accessibility of the app for Black users.
   The grid is littered with profiles seeking out and hunting for "Big Black Cock". It's rare to find similar profiles that don't reduce Black people to our genitals and sexual expectations based in myths and stereotypes.
   These myths and stereotypes are intrinsically connected to slavery, and how Black people were viewed by whites as sexually aggressive. Do the research and actually do something about it. It's not a matter of free speech or kink shaming. This fetish does not have to be displayed publicly, continuing a history of harm against Black people.

8. When the app is closed and click on a new message, it goes to the chat but content not shown

   Once I close the app, if there is new message, then it shows a notification as expected. But when I click on that notification, I go to the related chat but the chat history is not visible. I have to go back to the messages and open that chat again. I tried restoring the app but still the same

11. Accessibility Options for the Blind and Visually Impaired

    I'm a visually impaired Grindr user and find it to be difficult, at times, to read the text content throughout the app. For example, because I already have my android text size set at a certain level whenever Grindr tries to display text it appears to "run/lay over" other text which makes it very difficult or impossible for even fully sighted users to read. For this reason, it's my suggestion that Grindr implement some form of accessibility options for those of us with vision related disabilities, such as an option to change text size directly through the app or to use a screen reader.

15. New profile UI: no tapping between photos

    I'm on Android. I'm the new profile UI (I think the update was rolled out today on the UK) there is no way to tap on the sides of photos to flip between them on a profile anymore. You have to swipe now. This is really annoying - I really liked the simple tap.

16. Reverse the latest update (May 2023)

    The latest update done on the 18th of May is ridiculous. Stop making Grindr a social networking looking like Facebook with overloaded profile page. Graphic design of the profile is overloaded, too much unnecessary stuff: I do not need icons (I can read and do not need a symbol of ruler to know that it is physical parameters); categories (stats/expectations etc) are really not necessary - I simple list of items is enough; speach bubble around "about me" is just weird. It all looks very childish and is far away from the purposes of this app.
    So please keep it simple and stop doing "improvements" just to make any improvement regardless of convenience of the users.

17. Do NOT update filter UI. Revert back to how it has been for years!

    The profile filters have always been accessed by swiping from right to left. This brings up a list of filters such as online now, age, position, height, weight, etc. Now these same filters are being implemented in a different location (at the top of the app). The new UI is extremely cluttered and a pain to work with. If it ain't broke don't fix it! Instead of changing the UI, why don't you just FIX and ELIMINATE all the countless bugs this app has instead? That would be something that would be extremely beneficial. I feel like I'm preaching to the choir though. I already know the filter list on the right side is going away very soon. It's only a matter of time.

    The pricing on Unlimited and Extra is not clear. I used Unlimited for a number of months. I constantly see Boost ads. This leaves me feeling like the available profiles are throttled even at $40/month. That would be outrageous. This month I chose Extra instead. On my iPhone I'm met with a dozen different price levels. Many of them are repeats. None of them tell me clearly what I'm getting for $20/month. It's totally opaque. If I choose $20/month I would like to know up front, you will be limited to 50 people per day (if that is indeed the case). If I choose $40/month then it should be clear that I will get unlimited profiles and whatever added features.
