Less mobile data usage
It appears to me that grindr uses a lot of data (eg easily dozens of MB per session, while other apps use only a few MB per session, similar usage behavior). This is a pain when traveling abroad or for people with limited mobile data.
I think this could be either optimized (better caching, better workflow with optimized image compression etc) and/or advanced settings (eg optionally disable most images in mobile network, just use chat, as a data saver option).10 votes -
Stricter verification
I would like for Grindr to implement stricter verification for new and existing users in an effort to combat underage individuals posing as adults, bots, etc. I've heard a number of stories of men who have chatted with individuals who they thought were of legal age, only to find out upon meeting them that they're some horny teen. Messages not sending or receiving. Major bug. It needs an update
This is a new bug affecting a lot of people. Sometimes reinstalling the app helps, but now the only fix for me personally is deleting my account and recreating if, until the issue happens again within a few hours.

Just like Scruff and Adam4Adam let me have Private Photo Gallery that I can unlock to individual guys then relock when I’m done sharing those pics. One step easy way to share several personal photos all at one time

Bring back distance marker in grid
You've gotten rid of the mile distance on the grid as you scroll thru profiles. Unable to see what the distance as you view profiles now

Distance
Display distance (when enabled) in upper left corner of every visible profile. Only update when refreshing or changing screen. Limit to upper 9 visible profiles to reduce overhead.

Be able to take and save videos like you do pictures within the app
There have been many times where I would send someone a video and I want to be able to save that video and send it to multiple people in different chats. I am not able to do so now. It’s frustrating having to take several of the same video just to be able to send it to others. I would love to be able to take and save videos in the all just like you do pictures.

Ability to rearrange sent photos
I’ve got 30-40 sent photos saved and they’re just in the order of upload. I’d love to be able to rearrange them so that they make more sense: maybe I’m playing with a friend, can move all his photos together so I’m not looking through forever, can arrange all my front nudes together, rear nudes, cute pics of my dog, etc.
